Utah John Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 1. OJ Simpson 2. Cookie Gilchrist 3. Thurman Thomas 4. Tom Day 5. Mike Stratton6. Billy Shaw 7. Elbert Dubenion 8. Andre Reed 9. Jim Kelly 10. Bruce Smith Not really in any order. It's tough to limit to 10. I wanted to bring in some of the long-ago players, the ones who actually won a championship or two.

Buftex Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I would like to include guys from the AFL days, but honestly, as legendary as they are in Bills lore, I never saw any of them play, other than highlights...for me, my earliest Bills memories started in 1972, when Dennis Shaw was the QB..I was 7. Shaw and I shared the name Dennis, which wasn't so common, it seemed at the time...so he is kind of the player that lured me in... There are so many more I would love to include, but my personal Top 10...not necessarily the greatest of all time (though some were), but just they guys that made the biggest impact on me, in a life spent as a hopeless Bills backer...they are listed more chronologically than by preference: 1- OJ Simpson 2- Joe Ferguson 3- Jerry Butler 4- Steve Freeman 5- Joe Cribbs 6- Bruce Smith 7- Thurman Thomas 8- Rob Riddick 9- Jim Kelly 10- Lee Evans
Buffalo Beeeews Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 Thats ridiculous I didn't ask you to agree with it...

Kelly the Dog Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 When I read the thread title my first thought was "that list better have Robert James on it."
Luxy312 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 My top ten are guys that I got to watch play. So the likes Billy Shaw won't be on there. 1 - Bruce Smith 2 - Thurman Thomas 3 - OJ Simpson 4 - Andre Reed 5 - Jim Kelly 6 - Daryl Talley 7 - Cornelius Bennett 8 - Aaron Schobel 9 - Marcel Dareus 10 - Mario Williams So the last two are current players, but they're as good as we've had on the defensive line not named Bruce Smith.
It's in My Blood Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 1. Takeo Spikes 2. Kelly 3. Mario 4. Bruce 5. Dareus 6. Molds 7. Flutie 8. Thurman 9. Andre 10. Sam Adams Not in any order.
