zevo Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I think I've wrapped myself up in this to a very unhealthy point....there is nothing that I can control...it is what it is..,
plenzmd1 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 (edited) Unbelievable. What is Murray to do? I honestly don't know what he should do. 2 , almost 3 , years of a plan down the chitter How are you going to sell anyone besides McEichel to the fan base.if they do not get 30th, I really feel like it will be devastating psychologically for Buufalo sports fans. Friggen Harrington worried about people laughing at the Sabres before, think of how much people will be laughing they blow the tank....3 friggen years of sucking down the tubes. Hope it made your day Harrington. BTW, Arizona I think has this thing wrapped up. They may not win another game. The 2 against the Sabres should be intersting affairs. bbb Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 That's exactly it. They're laughing now - not a month ago. I really hate Harrington. How the frig did EDM and ARI play their last game against each other by mid December. They're in the same division!! A three point game from them would have been nice, and at least guarantee two points.
4merper4mer Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 The Sabres could still luck out and win the lottery right? What is the difference in ping pong balls by finishing last or second to last? That percentage swing is the #1 ting IMO. Finishing last ensures McDavid or Captain Boozy but it seems that the gap has widened between the two.

They could, but getting last is 100% certainty of one of them. I likey 100%. Btw , if they finish 29th, I think odds are like 33% landing in top 2. So drop is from 100 to 33....only in freaking Buffalo
MarkAF43 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I was at the game last night and it was sad but in my head I was wishing for Van to pick it up and score more, and was actually disappointed with the end outcome. Although the cool thing was my wife got us in a suite for the game and I spent the game sitting in the suite next to Fred Jackson. Coolest part if anyone saw his picture on Twitter or Instagram with his daughters hat on, I'm the ugly SOB in the background with the glasses on. Didn't talk to FJ but he seems like an awesome family guy and his kids were having a blast. (can't post the pictures from work, but if anyone sees them you can see my ugly mug)
May Day 10 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Vancouver was dog-tired. The Sabres hit a fortunate stretch of schedule the past week or so. I think the deadline losses and this 5 game road trip followed by NYR, WAS, BOS, and NASH will bring them down to Earth.

Michal Neuvirth should be dog tired as well, 7 straight starts with the least 30 shots on goal in each, and he continues to play well. Can't trade him soon enough! Edited February 27, 2015 by ricojes

I don't even think they wanted Lindbeck, he was a just a player dump involved in that trade. If they do not trade MN, they have a built in excuse to play Hackett (at least for 7 games). GG Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 And, friggin Arizona let's a 3-1 lead turn into a 4-3 defeat. I thought they were at least getting a point out of it. I'm so friggin pissed! Bittersweet irony - Buffalo kid nets the Rangers' game winner
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Seriously!!!!!!!! You had a good team. Against the goalie that was the goldenboy of this town for ten years. The entire crowd had not one, but two reasons to root for the loss!!!! And now they screw it up?!?!?!? C'mon!!!!!!!!!! At this point I think teams are purposely letting us win to mess with us.

When did Lack play in Buffalo?
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 When did Lack play in Buffalo? Miller didn't play? I honestly didn't get to see the game. I recorded it, and my brother texted me that we won before I got home.
QCity Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Miller didn't play? I honestly didn't get to see the game. I recorded it, and my brother texted me that we won before I got home. Miller's out 4-6. Neuvirth didn't really play that well and we were without Ennis and Girgs. I'll say it again, if you've been watching these games (and I'll completely forgive you if you haven't) there has been a noticeable jump in determination since the trade. It's almost as if the players are in F.U. mode and are finally sick of the tank talk -- determined not to finish last. Blocked shots: Vancouver 3, Buffalo 17. Nolan has this team fired up.
May Day 10 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Vancouver was wasted too. One time the puck went to an empty wing and it seemed like it took the players on both teams 10 seconds to get over there. It looked like a Performax game

I've suffered for way too long not to see this through!!!!! NSFW

K-9 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 They out hit them 23-12 as well... We've been outhitting and blocking more shots than our opponents since the season started. Two statistical anomalies, save percentage and shooting percentage, are the reasons for our streak in Nov/December and our recent success. We are still the WORST possession team in the league, BY FAR. I mean, it's not even close; not even in the same galaxy. March is the month when it comes crashing back down, just like it did in January. Nothing that the great Ted Nolan can do about that, either. Unless he's going to magically transform them into a strong puck possession team. And he doesn't seem to have ever possessed a clue about coaching that style of hockey. The tank is gassed up and still rolling strong.

Trust me, I have no delusions that the Sabres are a good team. I do think Edmonton is better, but I just hope that they are worse than Arizona down the stretch... decent "Silver Lining" article: http://thehockeywriters.com/3-silver-linings-for-the-2014-2015-buffalo-sabres-season/ Edited February 27, 2015 by ricojes
