I'd be really happy with either of these two as the next Sabres' coach.

Dan Bylsma to meet with the Sabres. For what it's worth, I thought he was an exceptional coach. Loved going to the arena every day under him

I think Bylsma would be a very solid option. He did have his weaknesses in his tenure in Pittsburgh, but he did the best thing possible a first time coach could do after being fired--watched as much as he could of all the teams in the league and delved further into analytics to try and shore up his weaknesses for the next job.

I think they'll end up with a good coach one way or another, but I'm still wondering what the heck they're going to do at goalie.

It would surprise me if they didn't bring back Neuvirth. He played pretty well here.

 

I could also see them making a trade for Anderson.

It doesn't matter - as long as Irbe is the goaltender coach, whoever it is will be a Vezina winner!
