You can't blame Ted Nolan or the players for doing their job. The problem is, GMTM needs to find a way to do it without making it so obvious.

Nobody is blaming the players for playing hard. They should. Nolan is an idiot, though -- he should be playing the young guys and getting them experience or showcasing guys the Sabres can trade, rather than pretending he's still trying to lead this team to a playoff spot.

They are 3-5-2 in their last 10. What exactly is going wrong here from the tank point of view? Arizona is the only team in the entire league who has put up less points in that same stretch. They are still comfortably in last.

I can just imagine. Will listen to on demand when go for a run around noon.

At this point I fear they will off themselves before the end of the season.

Jeremy white has lost his ****.....Matthew Coller was brining a little more persepective to things and that its still strong in the sabres favor but Arizona seems to be the real threat....

2-1-2 in their last 5 overall and 3-0-1 in their last 4 road games...This is why we are nervous...

...and every recent loss has been a one-goal game. They're close to winning much too frequently.

Aren't the shooting/possession stats just as bad as they ever were though, meaning they're just hitting an unluc...err...lucky stretch?

Stats are poor, hot goalie play has more to them winning than luck. A goalie can carry a bad team. Just like earlier in the season when they won 10 out of 12 or something ridiculous. They can't afford to do that now.

Ya hot goalie to me falls under the luck heading. Otherwise you'd change 'hot' to 'great'.

TM needs to trade the lucky goalie ASAP....

Keep in mind that we're talking about a stretch where they are not winning games in regulation at all. The performance is still not there and this is going to catch up to them very quickly.

Edmonton still has a game in hand tho so thats good news for Sabres!

CBF

Everything opposite in this race to the bottom CBF. We actually have the game in hand, which means in theory "lead" for the Sabres is only 3.

Its a mad, mad, mad, world in this race for McEichel

If you watch the games it's pretty clear there has been a noticeable jump in energy since the trade. They are playing well on the road, that's not a good sign at all.

They're giving up on average 38.5 shots per game since the trade and the number has trended upward the entire stretch. Forget about energy level, picking up points is not sustainable under that kind of barrage. And now add in the injuries on the blue line and Zemgus/Ennis and there's even worse hockey to be played.
