thebandit27 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 My only concern with bringing in another young OT is that Kujo and Henderson and then Battle would all be coming up for contract renewals at about the same time. OTs are well paid and if all three are good the total price will be difficult to work under the salary cap. 1st world problems man...we should be so lucky. If they go out and get Battle, I would imagine it would be to compete with Henderson and Kouandjio next offseason when Glenn is allowed to walk. I also wonder if it would serve as an impetus to move Glenn to LG this year if--and only if--Kouandjio looks like he can handle the RT spot.

I'm guessing he's not ground and pound enough for our current coaches. Looked good to me in pass protection and getting to the next blocking level. I like what the coaches asked of him. It will be interesting to see how the off field stuff affects him - might go much lower than his talent level.
Bob Malooga Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I wouldn't count the Bills out on Darrius Caldwell either...6-6, 245lbs. DE/OLB. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000494369/article/darrius-caldwell-intends-to-apply-for-2015-supplemental-draft http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/25197667/west-georgia-olbde-darrius-caldwell-heading-to-supplemental-draft http://www.hudl.com/athlete/3137371/highlights/89230376/v2 (He was the top juco recruit at weak-side DE.)
ALF Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 If the Bills could have a good running game by building a good OL to take pressure off QB , run the clock , rest the defense , that would be a great start.
Dopey Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I think you are exactly right on one of those possibilities, unless you aren't. maybe, maybe not.

26CornerBlitz Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 @NFL 7 players eligible for the 2015 Supplemental Draft: http://bit.ly/1LYmGXU Joining Battle in the draft are West Georgia defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey and defensive end Darrius Caldwell, Houston defensive end Eric Eiland, UConn tight end Sean McQuillan, Kansas defensive back Kevin Short and North Carolina Central wide receiver Adrian Wilkins. The supplemental draft will be held July 9.
machine gun kelly Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I doubt he would fall to us. If so, why not take him for the minimum.

I'm not expecting it but not being on the list doesn't change my perception

ALF Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 I would think Rex can get a honest e v a l from Clemson's HC , from going there for his son.
YoloinOhio Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 Taking place today, not sure if Bills are there @MikeReiss: Clemson OL Isaiah Battle, eligible for Thursday supplemental draft, has 26 NFL clubs on hand for his Pro Day today, per school official.

I would guesstimate that there is a 81.25% chance they are there.
John from Riverside Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 We need O linemen and will probably draft a QB in the 1st round next year....... Pegula when he came in hired more people in the scouting dept (I think I read that somewhere) I would bet the money in my pocket that there is a Bills rep there
Kelly the Dog Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I would guesstimate that there is a 81.25% chance they are there. Probably true. But according to the Ideal Blowing Gas Law, it's probably closer to between 80.13 and 79.27%
C.Biscuit97 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I would guesstimate that there is a 81.25% chance they are there. Rex probably knows about this guy, good or bad. A pro day isn't going to show them anything they probably don't know already. A good poker move is to not show up if you are really interested. There's also a chance the guy has more issues than the media knows about too.
