Pulled hamstring? I think if the Bills really needed this guy, he'd be staying home. His problem down the road is that making the Olympics is one thing, while making the money he'd make if he solely concentrated on football and produced as a pro football player is quite another.

I dont think Goodwin has a problem actually. maybe the fans do?

he aint about the money.

Go Bills Go Marquise!

Yep, Rex likes guys that are difficult to defend. I'm not at all surprised by Rex's man crush on Goodwin.

me and Rex are so similar its eerie

I would much rather he actually lived up to his potential as an NFL Wide Receiver for the team that spent a 3rd round pick on him, and pay him handsomely, than futz around with track. If he had accomplished anything of note here, I wouldn't mind, but he hasn't been very productive, and I think he is veering toward being a bust.

I give not a single poop about the Olympics at this point, and I doubt he would be missed on the track team anyway.

Yep. He is special with his speed and those guys don't go on trees, especially since he's been working on his route running. Also, he's a gunner on ST.

I like him personally, and wish him well, but he was signed and paid to do a job here, and he hasn't accomplished enough to get sidetracked into other activities.

Are you satisfied with his career as a Bill thus far?

if he qualifies, and is having a good camp, i have no worries about him taking a few days off to pursue this.

of course. once in a lifetime opportunity...this isn't deion sanders playing baseball; this guy is like top 10 in the world in the long jump... this is serious stuff...

He was hurt and misused last year (shocking). In Goodwin's rookie year he was pretty much exactly what they hoped for. He is an explosive big play threat that happens to get hurt a lot. If he is healthy he cannot be covered down the field and that has shown throughout camp. He may never be an every down player (which is cool by me). He is a specialist that can change the outcome of games. He isn't going to rack up a ton of catches but the plays that he makes will be big. Edited by Kirby Jackson

Wouldn't guarantee it but Rex sounds like Goodwin is making the team.

That's what I took from his comments as well. Sounds like he plans for him to be around into the future.

Honestly, No.

but i dont think thats has a direct relationship to his track and field pursuits.

Defining season for him

imo

I can't imagine a kid having a healthier hobby. I have a hard time understanding how any Bills fan wouldn't enthusiasticly support Goodwin following his dream, and be proud of him.

In my opinion, that negativity is just bizarro Buffalo defeatist bullcrap, preemptively bracing for some future disappointment.

Go Bills! Go USA!

Why exactly? You attack me, but don't provide a counter argument.

I didn't attack you, I questioned your points from a football perspective because they have zero merit.

But why don't they have merit?

Just calling them silly, doesn't make them silly.

You can answer your own question: how does Goodwin train to "absorb blows"? What specific training methods would that entail?

Explain how Goodwin should train to take blows and what gaining weight will do for him as a speed receiver.
