He just got claimed by the Browns. I wonder if he will be allowed to play in their scrimmage at the Shoe on 8/7. He has been banned from OSU for awhile and not sure when that expires...

even if still on the books, i cant fathom that tOSU would not let him back in a professional scrimmage capacity

He had a five year ban from all OSU "athletic department facilities" -- same AD in place. Urban will get it lifted somehow if it thinks it can help recruiting in any way, shape or form that his players can see TP's still hanging on in the pros.

Common sense says it was for hanging out on campus independently or attending school/alumni events - not an nfl scrimmage for his professional team that he's employed by. Pending leadership not having actual mental shortcomings they will let it go by as quietly as possible.

One problem for TP is other than 40 time he wasn't that athletic according to this blog http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/13682485/31439877

Good find! Here's the summary for those too lazy to follow the link:

We all know Pryor is a phenomenal athlete. His ability to shake defenders and surprise them with his acceleration are among his most impressive traits. The fact that Pryor tested so poorly in this drill leads me to wonder if he tired early or perhaps didn't take this particular part of the workout as seriously as others. Or, perhaps he simply isn't as quick for the watch as he appears to be on tape.

Regardless, it doesn't bode well for his chances at successfully converting to receiver or tight end.

I think he could play a WR role as a red zone specialist - I don't think he could ever be a #1 or 2 WR at this point. Had he converted when he first got into the league, maybe. The Browns will need to be very patient if they want to use him there, which they say they do. They have a need at WR and it can't hurt to give him a shot in TC, especially considering his former qb coach from the raiders is now their OC. He knows what he is.

Not sure why the NCAA is ruling on this, I thought it was OSU's decision.

@EricSeger33: Terrelle Pryor, now a WR claimed off wavers by Browns, can play in scrimmage at Ohio Stadium Aug. 7, per the NCAA: http://t.co/JdZUB3x1li

@Gil_Brandt: 5 WRs whose measurables are in range of Terrell Pryor's (6-4, 233, 4.38 40):

Megatron

Julio Jones

Mike Evans

DGB

Vincent Jackson

It's hilarious that issues the NCAA focuses on. But I'm sure there aren't bigger fish to fry than tattoos for autographs.

I actually thought Pryor showed some flashes as a QB...but in this day and age, there is no time/room for QB projects...he should go to Canada...

That's what I said when he was at OSU. To me he looked the same as every other one-read, running QB that people get excited about every year.

he also has low football IQ and zero leadership skills. He never had potential to be a long term starter as a Qb in the NFL.

A role player in the WR corp... Maybe.

Pryor has looked really good at WR. Not surprised. Wish we had signed him. And, he's one of my least favorite Buckeyes of all time. So it's not that. He's just a freak and we could have used his size.
