It's a lot to ask out of town reporters to fully understand Buffalo and the Bills. This gal comes close but, sorry, while Rex is one reason for the ticket surge, a lot is the bodacious free agency period we just had, and most of all it's Terry & Kim ensuring the Bills are staying. This article strikes me as something she had written in her head before she ever spoke to Rex. Edited June 18, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
Hapless Bills Fan Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/06/rex-ryan-has-won-buffalo-without-winning-a-single-nfl-game The article talks about how Rex Ryan has already won over Buffalo (which is true), with a few sideways compliments. I don't read that as a feel-good story; maybe I'm just blind? I read it as a fluff piece about Rex Ryan's undeniable charisma. The part that got me was at the end "he’s a smart coach that comes from a family of smart coaches and can turn around defenses." - shows ignorance of the fact that the Bills had a top-5 D last year and all Ryan has to do is not screw it up. I hope Ryan reads it and it ticks him off and lays a mega-chip on his shoulder. I don't think Rex wants his legacy to be "But regardless of what happens on the field, he’s already done what he always does best: He won the offseason."
The Poojer Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 hey, until Rex produces when it counts, the story isn't un-true. I do think the Bills are in different football than the Jets he took over, but it only matters what happens on the field and I think he, and the rest of the organization, are going to make the fan base VERY happy when it matters.
KollegeStudnet Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Rex won me over. A hungry coach getting a second chance at a HC position is a great story. It's a slowtime for NFL news, probably just a fluff piece to fill in the mandatory mini camp beginings.
PromoTheRobot Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Schopp said Rex has been here 5 months and we are still a last place team. Can't argue with that. Edited June 19, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
