KD in CA Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Frankly, I'm surprised websites and newspapers distributed in CA are still allowed to refer to such people as being in the country "illegally". Edited June 19, 2015 by KD in CT
Azalin Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Frankly, I'm surprised websites and newspapers distributed in CA are still allowed to refer to such people as being in the country "illegally". They probably decided that doing so would rob them of their ability to claim victim status.
IDBillzFan Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 LABills finally moved to Texas. Rent free. In your head. Every. Single. Day.
DC Tom Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Rent free. In your head. Every. Single. Day. So how is it in there? I imagine it as something like a great big unfurnished studio apartment with no straight lines or right angles.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 My wife mentioned Texas and my initial response was But I told if we did it would be Austin. San Antonio is nice, I hear.
Azalin Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 San Antonio is nice, I hear. It's nice - I lived there for 8 years before moving, but I like Austin a lot more than I did San Antonio.
unbillievable Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 San Antonio is nice, I hear. Isn't San Antonio the fattest city in the country?
TakeYouToTasker Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Isn't San Antonio the fattest city in the country?Any correlation with quality of BBQ?
IDBillzFan Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 So how is it in there? I imagine it as something like a great big unfurnished studio apartment with no straight lines or right angles. It's more like that scene from Willy Wonka...the Gene Wilder one...where they're on the boat....floating down the chocolate river...
Chef Jim Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Any correlation with quality of BBQ? I'm in!! That's why God created gyms.
DC Tom Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 It's more like that scene from Willy Wonka...the Gene Wilder one...where they're on the boat....floating down the chocolate river... The presence of Oompa-Loompas would explain a lot...
Azalin Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Any correlation with quality of BBQ? It's more to do with the quality and ubiquitous nature of the home made flour tortillas.
Doc Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 But in the mind of Gov Brown, that was a mistake. What about all the other mistakes?
unbillievable Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) http://www.ibtimes.com/immigration-reform-signature-collection-underway-california-initiative-give-1985664 [illegal] Immigrants who take part in the program would not have to show proof of immunizations until they apply for permanent residence cards, which would be made available only after five years of living in the state. The permits would establish an official arrival date in the country and give immigrants [illegal aliens] a tax identification number to allow them to attend school or apply for jobs. so.... um.. If Arizona isn't allowed to enforce federal immigration law, can California pass laws to legalize them? Edited June 26, 2015 by unbillievable
DC Tom Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 http://www.ibtimes.com/immigration-reform-signature-collection-underway-california-initiative-give-1985664 so.... um.. If Arizona isn't allowed to enforce federal immigration law, can California pass laws to legalize them? CA just passed a law requiring citizens to get immunizations. But illegal residents aren't required? Does the CA legislature pay any attention to what they're doing?
Cinga Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 CA just passed a law requiring citizens to get immunizations. But illegal residents aren't required? Does the CA legislature pay any attention to what they're doing? Does ANY legislature pay attention to what they, or anyone else is doing other than their own re-election?
IDBillzFan Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Does ANY legislature pay attention to what they, or anyone else is doing other than their own re-election? Most California state representatives don't really spend a lot time on re-election because they are so embedded as the ruling class, they're more like tenured teachers than elected officials.
B-Man Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Most California state representatives don't really spend a lot time on re-election because they are so embedded as the ruling class, they're more like tenured teachers than elected officials. Same in New York State, but (somehow) they still spend the the majority of their time "fundraising"............................odd, huh. .
