Alaska Darin Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/health/2015/06/17/california-budget-deal-to-make-state-first-in-nation-to-offer-healthcare-to/ I'm sure that will discourage illegal immigration and have few downstream consequences. Good thing the state's budget is in such good shape and the future is so rosy. Nice work, Moonbeam.
Nanker Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 No worries Kalifornia. When you run out of your own money, Uncle Sam will surely step up to the plate for ya.
Chef Jim Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 And they've been running ads urging the state to fully fund Medi-Cal with a bunch of kids saying "I am Medi-Cal"
keepthefaith Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Obamacare came up short in this area, so Brown's plan simply closes the gap for those who were left out. It's the only fair thing to do.
Doc Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Obamacare came up short in this area, so Brown's plan simply closes the gap for those who were left out. It's the only fair thing to do. Obamacrap wasn't meant to cover illegals. Barry clarified this back in 2009.
ExiledInIllinois Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Luckily for many, California isn't anywhere near where you live so it doesn't much matter. My employer and I have health insurance coverage that is now 1/2 what we were paying 10 years ago.
keepthefaith Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Obamacrap wasn't meant to cover illegals. Barry clarified this back in 2009. But in the mind of Gov Brown, that was a mistake.

unbillievable Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 They are billions behind on road and infrastructure maintenance because of the recession. Now that the economy has begun to rebound they're using the higher tax revenues to add new spending programs instead of paying off their debt. Sounds reasonable. Healthcare for illegals! Just as long as they don't need to use roads to get to the doctor.
Azalin Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 This may be one of the most effective ways of slowing illegal immigration into Texas.
Chef Jim Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 This may be one of the most effective ways of slowing illegal immigration into Texas. And speeding our retirement out of CA.

Chef Jim Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Lots of Californians have relocated to Austin lately. My wife mentioned Texas and my initial response was But I told if we did it would be Austin.
ExiledInIllinois Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Don't be so sure. As California goes so do many other states. No... Really. That was the point Captain Obvious. In the meantime, I will save a ton of money. Forward! But I told if we did it would be Austin. How much closer can you get to staying in California? :-P
