Thoughts on Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, Woods-Harvin, Charles Clay & how good he thinks the 2015 Bills will be: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/54706/59/bills-fantasy-preview …
KD in CA Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I think he's pretty spot on regarding the WRs (no good values) and TE (possibly very good value). McCoy is trickier. Sometimes fantasy rankings are fickle; McCoy was a consensus top 3 pick just a year ago, and now he's a mid-second rounder? That seems like a big drop to me. I've seen it before were everyone overreacts to a few questions about a guy and then he ends up exceeding everyone's expectations. I'd consider getting McCoy in the second round a nice coup.

AP is a consideration. Le'Veon Bell of course but he has the 3 game suspension. That's 1/4 of the fantasy season. Murray had a new OL and might share carries with Mathews and Sproles. Buffalo is going to run the ball a ton and they've already said Fred is being cut in half. I think mccoy is a good pick in the 1st. I still don't know who will go 1st overall. I had Lacy last year and I think I'm going to go another direction this year. I drafted in with my 1st pick, and he didn't live up to it. Granted, he dealt with concussions early, and he did produce in the 2nd half of the season, but Jeremy Hill won me my league and I got him off the waiver wire. I'm still going to take a RB first, but not sure I will go with him. Edited June 17, 2015 by YoloinOhio
BuffaloHokie13 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I'm going with Aaron Rodgers as a dark horse #1 with no clear cut workhorse RB's outside of Lynch
YoloinOhio Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 I'm going with Aaron Rodgers as a dark horse #1 with no clear cut workhorse RB's outside of Lynch Speaking of Rodgers, keep Davante Adams in mind for fantasy. Rodgers said yesterday that he thinks he is going to be a "star."
Kelly the Dog Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Maybe McCoy and maybe Clay to a lesser extent, but I very much doubt that any of the Bills are going to put up great fantasy stats on offense. But that doesn't mean we won't have a highly productive one. We could end up in the top ten or top five in yards without any great individual fantasy numbers. I also imagine guys like OLeary and Gray and Goodwin and Hogan to take some catches and a few scores away from the star players simply because we have so many star players that Roman is going to find the guys the defenses are going to forget to watch.

I am thinking about Clay specifically because he will be value in later rounds and because he is going to be on the field so much; used in multiple ways. I don't like taking TEs too early. I'm still going to take a RB first, but not sure I will go with him. I had the #1 pick in our draft last year... I picked LeSean. He didn't have a horrible year, but he wasn't great either. I can't remember the last time I got great value out of my first round pick. It seems to dog me every season...I take the guy that logic, and every fantasy "expert" says I should take, and they pretty much never produce the way they are projected to. If I have a good season, it is normally because of my later picks. Kind of sucks...in a 12 team league, if you take a QB too early, you are screwed at running back...if you take a running back in the first, you end up with a middling QB, and and a middling 2nd RB. We do the snake draft, and we don't know where we pick until about 20 minutes before the draft starts...I would so much rather pick somewhere in the 8-12 range, than the #1 pick...it is a curse...I have had it two years in a row.
KD in CA Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Bell is the guy I like best among the top backs -- the suspension is a little concerning but I find that unless I put myself in an 0-3 hole in September it's rare that I'm not in the playoff hunt. Then it comes down to roster depth to overcome injuries/busts and as always, a bit of luck.

Gordon could carry you through the first 3 weeks if he gets the ball as much as I think he will in SD.
KD in CA Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I took Matt Forte 4th last year -- and that's right where he ended up for RBs (6th for non-QBs). Not a sexy pick but he's still pretty solid. I assume he'll drop a few notches this year too.
