NobesBLO13 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 This thread reminds me of a Richard Christy prank call where he just rattles off wrestler names to a radio host. It's hilarious, I'd post a link but I'm on my phone.
BillsPride12 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 No love for Jim Cornette? He was the best. He was one of the best. I still have Heenan as the GOAT
Corp000085 Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Hulk Hogan, of course. He made grown men cry. Well...presumably grown men. Was it the Hulkster, or was it the VHS collection in general?
The Poojer Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 One of the junior poojers still watches WWE and I find myself watching too. They still know how to put out an entertaining product.
KD in CA Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Mr. Wonderful Paul Orton Orndorff was great when he turned on Hogan and gave him a pile driver and deserves some extra credit because his kid wrestles now. Funny....I remember watching that!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Mr. Wonderful Paul Orton was great when he turned on Hogan and gave him a pile driver and deserves some extra credit because his kid wrestles now. That's Orndorff and thankfully he is still alive. To many wrestlers have died over the years.
gomper Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 No love for Rowdy Roddy Piper and his Piper's Pit? One of the all time great bad guys/antagonists. https://youtu.be/x_9ByHQ6PAY Wrestler: Flair.....no doubt. As far as the mic goes, generating hate....Roddy all the way:
NobesBLO13 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Wrestler: Flair.....no doubt. As far as the mic goes, generating hate....Roddy all the way: THEY LIVE.....greatest ending to a movie ever. And great movie title
Rob's House Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Hulk Hogan takes the crown, and quite frankly it isn't even close. After being the "sport's" hero for 2 decades he finally went bad and made the best heel ever as Hollywood Hogan. The runner up IMO is Stone Cold Steve Austin because he was a great **** talker (and that's really what it's all about). Also, Roddy Piper, Bobby Heenan, and Brother Love were some of the best entertainers as managers and commentators. Honorable mention for Brutus Beefcake. That guy was awesome.
truth on hold Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Any votes for Floyd Mayweather? http://youtu.be/thNYA_x9aIE
May Day 10 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 HHH was pretty good back in the day. Mick Foley too. I always thought the Rock's schtick was too boring and predictable. His finishing moves were also puzzling. Didn't think he took as many risks as other guys either. I didn't watch though in his 'rise'. I watched from like 99 - 04. Also catch it once in awhile for S&G. It seems to me that they are running on fumes. 3 hours for Raw is a bad idea. The personalities are bleh. The one guy who was worth a damn doesnt want anything to do with it (CM Punk).
truth on hold Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Stone Cold hands down CBF like I said, not a fan, but this was classic (would have been even better if Tyson bit Austin on his fat ass)
Marv's Neighbor Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Gorgeous George The Sheik BoBo Brazil Don't forget Ilio.
