YoloinOhio Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Anybody prefer Flynn to Cassel? not me
PromoTheRobot Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 (edited) Looking back, I can't believe that the unexplained "extra frequency over the NFL allowed frequency" found in the Pats* radio system during Spygate, combined with Doug Flutie going on a Boston radio show and saying he once picked up the wrong QB helmet and heard the coaches talking to the QB well after the League-mandated cutoff (the best part is that Flutie apparently laughed about that and thought it was funny), didn't get much, much more play back then.....That was back when the NFL was in full CYA mode with the Pats**. Gotta protect the shield. Can't have people thinking it's premiere franchise got that way by cheating. Edited August 10, 2015 by PromoTheRobot
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 What this tells is less about Flynn and more about what the Pats think of the Brady appeal. No way a team takes the risk of just Jimmy G behind center
eball Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Apparently the only place Matt Flynn can succeed is in Green Bay. Odd.
YoloinOhio Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Who will the Pats sign next? Currently they have 1 QB on the roster eligible to play the first 4 weeks.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Who will the Pats sign next? Currently they have 1 QB on the roster eligible to play the first 4 weeks. They're eagerly awaiting our trade offer for EJ
papazoid Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 pats must be confident brady will start week 1
YoloinOhio Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 pats must be confident brady will start week 1thats probably the case. Oh well.
DJasper Probincrux III Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 pats must be confident brady will start week 1 either that or Matt Flynn is flat-out hot garbage.
NoSaint Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Apparently the only place Matt Flynn can succeed is in Green Bay. Odd. one might argue its not the location, but the very brief amount of time he played and some luck.
eball Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 one might argue its not the location, but the very brief amount of time he played and some luck. Â Or that I was being sarcastic.
YoloinOhio Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 @AdamSchefter: After releasing Matt Flynn, Patriots will be signing QB Ryan Lindley, per @fieldyates.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 @AdamSchefter: After releasing Matt Flynn, Patriots will be signing QB Ryan Lindley, per @fieldyates. Ah, they went with the guy who has recent experience starting in playoff games. The Belichick future thinking mentality
NoSaint Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Â Or that I was being sarcastic. i figured that, but there have been many here that have thought it was the right system, or something that could potentially be replicated somewhere else.... given our qb situation, and fans anxiety about it, i figured id try to close that door a little.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I was thinking they are more worried about Brady not playing and thought they better have a better #2 than Matt Flynn after watching him a couple weeks.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 @AdamSchefter: After releasing Matt Flynn, Patriots will be signing QB Ryan Lindley, per @fieldyates.Holy smokes, how desperate are the Pats**? Did anyone see Lindley in the Cards playoff game last year? Anyone complaining about Whaley not getting us a franchise QB should consider this move by the Pats**. If Lindley is the best of what is out there, what are the Bills supposed to do?

Not try to find a franchise QB at the tail end of the offseason?
PromoTheRobot Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Not try to find a franchise QB at the tail end of the offseason?Because the place was crawling with them earlier??
Kelly the Dog Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Turns out Matt Flynn pulled his hamstring before camp and it hasn't completely healed so they wanted a healthy guy in there. Another reason I think they don't believe Brady will be playing. Or they don't know and have to prepare.
