YoloinOhio Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) He's a perfect fit for Rex D. I don't understand why he would be on the bubble. I know he has a decent contract but we aren't trying to win the salary cap bowl. I love this team's depth on D. It's sick. Edited June 11, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Coach Tuesday Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Rex loves versatile, smart vet linebackers. He's not going anywhere.
GunnerBill Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 He was on the bubble if we stuck with last year's scheme cos he never had a real fit. Now? He will have a big role this year.
beerme1 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Love Manny. Think he's a beast and comes as a pretty good value so can't see why he would be going anywhere. Should be freed up to run wild again.
NoSaint Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 He was on the bubble if we stuck with last year's scheme cos he never had a real fit. Now? He will have a big role this year. Bingo. As a role player he fits his role much better this year than last.
Sandy McFiddish Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 He always shows up on game day too, does lots of great work in the community too.
CountryCletus Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 There was just an article- I think it was on bb.com about this very subject! I agree, look for 2013 production + this year
TPS Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Yep, I think he's going to screw up my selections in the "name 3 players who won't be on the roster in 2015" thread...good for him.
Deranged Rhino Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 He was on the bubble if we stuck with last year's scheme cos he never had a real fit. Now? He will have a big role this year. Bingo. As a role player he fits his role much better this year than last. 100%. I look forward to him making me eat my words when I was all over him after his disaster in Denver.
papazoid Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 i'm going the other way......he winds up getting cut. you save $1 mil this year and $3.5 mil next year.
NoSaint Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 i'm going the other way......he winds up getting cut. you save $1 mil this year and $3.5 mil next year. To be fair, the cap hit cutting him now vs next year for next years accounting probably is nearly identical. The dudes dead money next year would be very low even if he plays out this year.
boyst Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Love this dude. Powell, Lawson, Bradham and Brown will surprise everyone. We will be regarded as a top 5 LB u not by years end.
eball Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 i'm going the other way......he winds up getting cut. you save $1 mil this year and $3.5 mil next year. Are you just being a contrarian, or do you really believe the Bills will cut Lawson over $$? If the latter, well, just wow.
26CornerBlitz Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Who thought Lawson was on the bubble? He's tailor made for the Rex Ryan defense.
NoSaint Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Who thought Lawson was on the bubble? He's tailor made for the Rex Ryan defense. it was said so much last year, that someone less familiar could easily think it still true....
eball Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 Who thought Lawson was on the bubble? He's tailor made for the Rex Ryan defense. There was some pretty rampant speculation in another thread, pointing out some key mistakes by Lawson in the KC game last season.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Last year he was exposed in the running game getting beat on the edge so many times.
Dorkington Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Are you just being a contrarian, or do you really believe the Bills will cut Lawson over $$? If the latter, well, just wow. While I don't think Lawson will be cut, he very well could be a cap casualty if we go after a certain recently cut OL.
Rubes Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Ryan also seems to be pretty high on Powell as well. I like the way the LBs are shaping up.
