B-Large Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I just write a big check to the Federal Government, I know that money gets where it needs to.

3rdnlng Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 No opinion on the Red Cross, but I think that the Salvation Army is legit, while Goodwill is a farce. My favorite way is to give locally to families who are working but struggling, and to do it anonymously.
Wacka Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Remember after 9/11 about the Red Cross keeping money for local stuff instead of sending it to NYC? The day after the attacks, the Salvation Army had trucks set p with water, etc for the people working there. Bush gave us tax rebates around them and when I got mine, I gave it all to the Salvation Army in NYC. Got a nice thank you letter from them.
