Just Jack
So I'm working this week near Cincinnati, and the local morning DJ's keep going on and on about how great it was that the Rolling Stones played "Hang On Sloopy" during there concert this past weekend. Turns out Ohio made it their Official State Rock Song... When Ohio passed a law making "Hang on Sloopy" the official state songThey should have chosen one about their state, like this one from REM or this one from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. KD in CA
That is an odd choice, but I can understand them not picking the CSN song....the subject matter was not exactly that state's finest moment.
mead107
Ohio was ok till Beerball moved in
Beerball
That is an odd choice, but I can understand them not picking the CSN song....the subject matter was not exactly that state's finest moment. It's akin to a Red Sox fan and Sweet Caroline

ricojes
Screwed up? Hang on Sloopy is EPIC!!!! It is pretty cool when the whole crowd is doing the O-H-I-O. But after a Luckeye game, they play it every other song at the bars, it definitely gets old quick...

Gugny
"My City Was Gone," in my opinion, is the best song about Ohio.
