BarleyNY Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Woodson just named top 100 in his 18th season. 60 career INT's. 8 Pro Bowls I think Reed and Woodson are first ballot HOF inductees. What do you think? On another note how many votes do you think Darren Sharper will get if it is supposed to be only based on his on-field activities??? If Reed and Woodson aren't, then who is?
Chuck Wagon Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Saw him play in high school at Fremont Ross. He has had skill his entire life. Playing corner he did a back pedal 5 yards off the LOS. Still made it all the way across the field to tackle the RB for a 7 yard loss on an option. I also saw him in high school, simply an unbelievable athlete. I remember the team I saw him against basically gameplanned to not allow a home run and there were several plays he almost ran a straight line from the backfield to out of bounds a yard past the first down marker without being touched.
C.Biscuit97 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Is this even a question? He is one of the most versatile defensive players ever. He is a game changer and still productive at 67. First ballot no doubt.
KD in CA Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I rarely got to watch him in the pros, but still remember how good he was at Michigan. Just a great football player.
GunnerBill Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 He is a slam dunk Hall of Famer. I am not quite as convinced on him being first ballot. I would say Ed Reed is a slam dunk first ballot guy. Woodson could well be a first ballot but equally might take him a couple of years.
KD in CA Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 There are 10 more votes than voters... There were some ballots not marked properly so we just assumed the intent of the voters and counted them. Totally legit.
Thrivefourfive Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 When Ed Reed stripped the ball from his own fat lineman in college and then ran for a touchdown, he showed us what a ballhawk he really is. Woodson, you can't do much better. He's a 1st ballot all the way.

negativo Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Does the pope sh!t in the woods? Is the bear Catholic? Of course he's HOF, and almost certainly 1st ballot.
Orange Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Woodson is without question a 1st ballot HOFer.Without a doubt what kirby said.
Mr. WEO Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 There were some ballots not marked properly so we just assumed the intent of the voters and counted them. Totally legit. LOL---some with well-hung chads...
Utah John Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 If Woodson goes on the first ballot, I won't be upset or surprised. He deserves it. But, Thurman Thomas wasn't a first ballot HOFer. Woodson is a great player who will get into the HOF but Thomas's example shows sometimes even great players have to wait.
