Rob's House Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Maybe that's what you're thinking of. http://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2012/07/the-economic-case-for-food-stamps/260015/ No, it wasn't that. I should make it clear that I don't recall the exact amounts, but it showed that household expenditures significantly exceeded household income.

So are they going into debt ?or are they making extra income by something like baby sitting for some other mother who has a job?, or do they have relatives throwing them a few bucks ? or a boyfriend ? Chef Jim Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 So are they going into debt or are they making extra income by something like baby sitting for some other mother who has a job I was thinking more of robbing banks and selling drugs.
3rdnlng Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Wouldn't work. We'd end up paying more for criminal justice Why aren't people taking those jobs? So, are you suggesting that we pay these people not because they can't work because of physical or mental problems, but because they will become criminals if we don't? That would make them thugs in my estimation and you a willing participant in extortion. You ask why they aren't taking those jobs? Well, their present safety net just might be the reason why.
