PromoTheRobot Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 https://twitter.com/EWood70/status/485067575026413568 There are 4 stars under the "C." Eric Wood's patch has one gold and three white stars. What does that mean? Is there a rank among the captains?
Canadian Bills Fan Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 It represents the number of consecutive years they have been a captain http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_team_captains CBF
Deranged Rhino Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 https://twitter.com/EWood70/status/485067575026413568 There are 4 stars under the "C." Eric Wood's patch has one gold and three white stars. What does that mean? Is there a rank among the captains? Each star gets filled in for every consecutive year a player has been captain. If it's longer than 4 years, the whole patch becomes gold, the stars as well. So I think that means he's been captain 5 straight years?
Nanker Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 One star each for a missing tooth. A gold one if it's capped.
Rock'em Sock'em Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Eric Wood was captain in 2013 and again in 2014. The image displayed was from July 2014. At that time he had only been captain one year in a row. Hence, only one star is colored in gold. Had the picture been from mid-season 2014 he would have had 2 stars filled in.
