Dorkington
Figured it'd be fun to pit these two against each other... being that they're generally the opposite ends of each party ('socialist' vs 'libertarian'). Who would you vote for and why?
IDBillzFan
The good thing about Bernie Sanders is that we can all finally admit that the Democrats want to flip the US straight to socialism, and no one can call us a racist this time. I'm also a big fan of Bernie's idea to ensure everyone gets a "free" college education. Something like 70% funded by the feds, 30% funded by the states, but somehow it is still "free."free. Dante
Paul. Either one. I'm really surprised socialism gets 3 votes. Proven failure but still....
/dev/null
I'm really surprised socialism gets 3 votes. Even in a world when everybody gets a trophy, life's losers still complain

B-Large
Id like to see single risk pool healthcare in this country, but I watched a lot of Rand's fillibuster on CSPAN the other night and have to say I didn't disagree with anything he was putting forward. 3rdnlng
Except he's not a Libertarian, he's a Republican. Can't he be both a dessert topping and a floor wax? My guess is that he is a libertarian at heart, but a republican out of necessity. The problem is a professed libertarian has about as much chance of winning the presidency as a professed communist. This country desperately needs a leader with a vision that is all about what is the best for it. We could really use, dare I say it, a Ronald Reagan type, but that's like saying the Sabres could use another Wayne Gretzky. I'd settle for another H.W. Bush who didn't make pledges regarding taxes. 3rdnlng
Ah Bernie, we hardly knew you: http://www.youngcons.com/presidential-candidate-bernie-sanders-twisted-essay-about-rape/ "2016 Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) let some skeletons out of his closet when the media dug up an article he wrote earlier in his career. The article, written when Sanders was 30 years old, discusses the desires of men to dominate and sexually abuse women as well as the desires of women to be oppressed and sexually abused." IDBillzFan
Here's Bernie's platform. Nice work, Bernie. Especially getting minimum wage to $15/hour by 2020, at which point you'll all complain that no one can possibly live on $15/hour in the year 2020. Yet I'm consistently surprised at how many people somehow think electing a socialist as POTUS is a great idea.
