Buftex Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 This guy is probably just a Cleveland fan with a website. He didn't even take the time to look up Drew's contract situation. Drew's base salary is just a little over $3 M this year -- not the $5 to $6M the guy cites. Even if the proposed trade were to occur before the March 2 roster bonus (which the Browns would then be liable to pay), he makes just a little over $4 M. And where does this guy get the impression that Romeo prefers pocket passers. Is he on the record for having stated that? 233970[/snapback] IMO, Clevland could offer Bledsoe his only guaranteed starting job. It all depends on how Crennel feels about him...since he helped Bledsoe look extremely awful in 5 of his last 6 contestests against him, maybe Crennel thinks he knows a what it would take to maximize Bledsoe's effectiveness. Crennel knows Bledsoe's game as well as anyone...just speculation, since, as you say, I have never heard Crennel say anything about Bledsoe, and have no idea how much he respects Bledsoes' game. I can't imagine Drew would be high on his list. Seems like keeping Garcia would make more sense. In some ways, at his best, Garcia is a more mobile version of Brady, only a little older, and slightly more effeminite!
Snorom Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I doubt Clevelands new HC is going to want DB.
Pete Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I heard Barcelona in the WFL is considering Drew. Word has it they prefer Ryan Leaf though
BuffaloSKEET Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Send Bledsoe and our fifth round pick for a dog bone - JUST DO IT
