DC Tom
There's no way I'm going to try to teach you about economics, international finance, the banking system, financial markets, effects of budget deficits, etc etc. If you can't understand something as simple as borrowing and spending can't continue ad infinitum there's no point. No one expect you to teach him anything about economics, finance, banking, etc. Not for the reasons you think, though.

In his own mind he can easily do this as demonstrated by his past linking of Jerry Sandusky to falsely accused victims of injustice and his declaration of Iran as our "natural ally". Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking "Wait, somebody is going to teach the leader of the Wall Street Jedi Council at PPP...economics, finance, banking, etc."? WTF? It's like he's completely unaware that the longest posts on this board are written, not by me, but by them, whenever a financial topic comes up. All you need is TPS vs. Magox, or TPS vs. GG, and that's when you see the real books being written here. Not that I mind it. I usually learn something, even from TPS. GG and Magox have learned me a lot too. Meazza hasn't teached me a damn thing, though. So, if JTSP is going to teach GG something, that ought to be a sight to see. Magox
While everyone is trying to cast blame on who is responsible for ISIS, the reality is that ISIS has always been around in the middle east, simply that it had been dormant over the past decades. Bush's war with Iraq was the beginning of the destabilization of the region, which began fueling the idea of reemergence of ISIS. He did manage to keep the region in check with his "Surge" but that was squandered by Obama's willingness to keep stabilizing forces in Iraq and many argue that there was a window of opportunity to support some of the rebel forces in Syria that could have dampened the ambitions of ISIS. I'm a little skeptical of that, but it's impossible to tell. Bottom line, it's always been there and the failure of US foreign policy gave it oxygen to grow. truth on hold
Big score for the militia today. I wonder if the militia leader thought this one up for them. Anyway RIP to the victims and families ISIS kills 34 Iraqi police with explosive-laden tank, officials say Baghdad, Iraq (CNN)At least 34 Iraqi police officers were killed and at least 48 more wounded Monday when an ISIS fighter drove a tank rigged with explosives into a joint Iraqi security forces base Security officials said that guards stationed at the base's entrance fired at the tank but couldn't stop it. The tank shoved aside two Humvees that blocked the entrance just before the ISIS driver detonated the tank. That explosion, near a stack of ammunition, triggered another blast. http://edition.cnn.com/2015/06/01/world/isis-attack-iraq-security-forces/ Edited June 1, 2015 by JTSP

truth on hold
Where do you suppose they got the tank from? Probably American just like the Humvees it pushed out of the way.
