Jerry Jabber Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 You say Dareus’ car hit a tree, how do we know it wasn’t the tree that hit Dareus’ car?
Jerry Jabber Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) It was a sting operation by the NFL. The NFL doesn’t want to see the Bills lead the league in sacks for a third consecutive year or make it to the playoffs ever again. Edited May 15, 2015 by Jerry Jabber
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 His car going that speed was entirely caused by atmospheric pressure and weather. You cannot prove he was using his foot on the gas pedal.
OP Class75 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Darius wasn't speeding.....There was a severe low pressure system that day in the Western New York area that caused a decrease in the pressure in his tires resulting in the tires overall diameter shrinking. With the smaller diameter, the wheels would rotate faster than normal, but the actual speed of the vehicle would not increase. It was strictly a rare atmospheric phenomenon, extremely localized, that only affected his tires.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Dareus took his car into the shop earlier. Whatever the mechanic did was up to him. Dareus knew nothing about the alterations that made the car go faster.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 faulty breaks It was later discovered that the mechanic was a Pats fan Edit: One thing is for sure, if Brady gets his suspension reduced, there is no way Dareus should miss more than a game CBF
4BillsintheBurgh Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 We need to fire the mechanic and the person who planted the tree.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 He only speeds 11 out of 12 times though.
papazoid Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 "We are humbled by the support the Buffalo Bills have received from our fans throughout the world. We recognize our fans’ concerns regarding the NFL’s penalties and share in their disappointment in how this one-sided investigation was handled, as well as the dismissal of the scientific evidence supported by the Ideal Gas Law in the final report."
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Dareus always called his mechanic as "The Speedster" but only because of his love for the drug, not making cars go fast.
Fortunesmith Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 He was only convicted of driving violations - imprudent speed and failure to keep right. Seeing that Marshawn didn't get suspended by the NFL for riding dirty in a van, Dareus should escape punishment also.
NoSaint Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 He was only convicted of driving violations - imprudent speed and failure to keep right. Seeing that Marshawn didn't get suspended by the NFL for riding dirty in a van, Dareus should escape punishment also. the nfl has been pretty clear that they will do their own investigations, and the actual conviction is only a piece of the puzzle - they can go harder if they think something happened. potential to be ridiculous on their part, but is what it is.
Kelly the Dog Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 The Ideal Gas Law states that "the more gas you use the faster your car goes" and since the car wasn't going as fast as it could, none of that applies here, ergo, he's innocent.
DC Grid Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Everyone knows when the cop wrote down that Dareus was "speeding," he meant that he was fat. That was what he was referring to, he was going to write "deflator" for fat but instead chose to write "speeding."
Manther Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I am enjoying this thread a lot! I don't think I can compete with some of these. LMAO!
jethro_tull Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 It's well known that Dareus' car accelerator pedal is made by Toyota. It just so happened to be the bad batch that were causing all those unintended accelerations.
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 "is that wrong? Had I known that that sort of thing was frowned upon, I would've never!"
Tenhigh Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Why is the NFL singling out Dareus and the Bills? All KINDS of professional athletes drag race. I could list dozens, but here's a few you've heard, just for starters: Dale Earnhart Jr. Tony Stewart Jeff Gordon Jimmie Johnson (maybe the same one, who knows) It's a dang witch hunt, I tell you!!!
Hot Buffalo Wings Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Let's try the same ones: His initial speed wasn't properly written down, so we have no way of knowing that he was actually speeding. Everyone does it. Aaron Rogers admitted that rolled through a stop sign once. The police were envious of his driving skills. Even after he was stopped and forced to slow down, he won the race, so speeding had no impact on the outcome.\ He wasn't racing, his mechanic was just trying to lose weight. Hilarious. Best comment I've read all week.
Fadingpain Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 OFFICIAL BILLS PRESS RELEASE: Although Marcell's mechanic was known as the "Drag King" and owned and operated "Drag Racing Modifications, Inc.", a mechanic/automobile performance installation business catering to a clientele interested in hot rodding their performance cars for purposes of drag racing...it has come to the attention of the Bills that, in fact, the "Drag King" got his nickname as a result of his love for wearing female clothing.
