dpberr Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Reminds me of the scene from the 1993 movie "The Professional" where Gary Oldman tells his guy to bring "everyone".... You wonder if the modern NFL defense, designed to defend the pass, could stop the Rolling Thunder formation. (7OL/2FB/1RB)
Heitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Bills going for the "Hard Knocks All-Star" team with Connor and 7-Eleven...
Turbosrrgood Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Current RB/FB/HB/TE roster: McCoy Jackson Dixon Brown Williams Felton Connor Clay O'Leary Gragg Gray Am I missing anyone? Gonna be some tough cuts, I imagine. Clay Burton and Manhertz at TE...possibly more
26CornerBlitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 @billsequipment John Conner will wear jersey #38. Merrill Noel moves to jersey #43. Go #Bills
26CornerBlitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 @ChrisBrownBills See what new #Bills FB John Conner had to say about being on same roster as FB Jerome Felton here. http://ow.ly/MUIij
Buffalo Barbarian Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 @DraftDiamonds: Were told that the #Bills love Conner's blocking ability & would like to add him as a compliment to Jerome Felton. Also ST and Big Back sets @ChrisTrapasso: I thhiiink #Bills OC Greg Roman wants to be able to roll out a 7 OL, 2 FB, 1 RB formation. how about the 8-2-1 formation
Formerly Allan in MD Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 They can all fight it out in camp. Rather have too many resources going in than too few.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 John Conner: "Rex Is A Fun Coach To Play For" (4:06) FB John Conner addresses members of the media for the first time as a member of the Buffalo Bills and discusses the role of the fullback in the NFL and Rex Ryan.
26CornerBlitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm not going to appreciate it if two FBs and a KO specialist make the final 53.
DrDawkinstein Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm not going to appreciate it if two FBs and a KO specialist make the final 53. Just curious, what position(s) would you rather see kept?
NoSaint Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Just curious, what position(s) would you rather see kept? pretty much everything outside backup long snapper, and.... i think thats it? if we stock special teams like we have been, and have an extra kicker, and play enough FB sets to justify 2 on the roster while spending heavily on pass catchers..... it would be a little headscratching, no?
26CornerBlitz Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Just curious, what position(s) would you rather see kept? Players at any other positions with the potential to contribute to the offense or defense and provide depth.

I dont think it's really going to happen, but given that it's no secret we're going to be a run-heavy team with a power running game, it shouldnt be surprising if we do, either. (even though we wont)
NoSaint Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) Was just wondering if you had someone or some position in mind. (even though we wont) someone like goodwin, an extra offensive lineman(a guy like williams/urbik as insurance that might be caught in a numbers game, or continue developing richardson?), secondary depth, an extra tight end (loser of gragg v gray?), the 4th HB (could even be freddy here).... almost every position has someone with more long term future, or potential week to week contribution, or skill set generally harder to find in November.... than a #2 FB, and i mean that as no knock on connor. seq004 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 just watched the clip in the OP. i miss "fat Rex." he looks like an anorexic girl now with those chicken legs. we need to fatten him up No way kdiggz Rexy looks way better now!
Lurker Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 You wonder if the modern NFL defense, designed to defend the pass, could stop the Rolling Thunder formation. (7OL/2FB/1RB) It would be a blast to find out, that's for sure...!
Mr. WEO Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Hasn't he been terminated by 3 different teams--and 3 times by the NYJ?
boyst Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 The drop off in talent at skill set positions during the season and before make keeping 2 FB's appealing and more reasonable then keeping a backup OL. OL on the practice squad learns the position and the plays and can step in to the roster when there is an injury. I'd as soon keep Connor and Felton then a 4th OG, a 4th ILB or 6th WR.
