YoloinOhio Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 (edited) @JamesALight: NEW POST: Gap Scheme & Zone Scheme Wham Plays: Jim Harbaugh & Urban Meyer: http://t.co/YdD2iNDhik http://t.co/JIgidIfOME named for the block by the H-Back or Tight End. It is a trap block from the outside-in thats referred to as a wham block. @MattBowen41: Wham block is nasty on the DT/NT. Ear hole shot to open up an inside running lane. https://t.co/NSXS0CfB6u Edited May 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
DrDawkinstein Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 So we should keep an eye out for Clay laying out Suh?!

Rockinon Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Nice find Yolo. Finally, someone talking about football. I think Felton can lay the lumber on Suh better than Clay. JMO.

DrDawkinstein Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Nice find Yolo. Finally, someone talking about football. I think Felton can lay the lumber on Suh better than Clay. JMO. Well yeah, but I was tying in the extra sweetness of it being the player we stole from them.

Chuck Wagon Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I could watch Zeke Elliott torch Oregon & Bama on an endless loop for the rest of my life and die a happy man.
thebandit27 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Might as well add this too...Kromer's scheme: http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2013/3/21/4092368/chicago-bears-playbook-aaron-kromer-run-offense
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Great stuff Yolo. I can definitely see Clay and O'Leary acting as the H-back blockers there. I'd love to see Shady with a hole like that.
Dorkington Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Nice little read, I see why we are filling up on TEs/HBs/FBs
YoloinOhio Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 This offense is going to be so different...
eball Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Ear hole shot, huh? I bet after taking one of those, everything just sounds like a careless whisper. Takes you almost to the edge of heaven.
Malazan Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I am not sure how this thread is relevant to this board. It does not mention the Patriots at all. It only talks about things relevant to the Bills and has a great breakdown of something related to Football.

For those ready to move on from the pats** Or at least take a break from it Edited May 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 This offense is going to be so different... It really will be. The Marrone/Hackett combination was trying to be a hurry up, West Coast offense which didn't have a QB with great accuracy which then got slowed down because we kept playing good offenses. I wanted a new OC before Marrone left, and I would have been ok with having Roman brought in as HC. I really think Roman is one of the best choices for what we have: a run first team with a stable of running backs, and a line of relatively slow maulers, and QBs who should be expected to be game managers.
Juice_32 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 This is great. It's nice to just talk football. Thanks for the links. It seems we have the perfect pieces in place to run this scheme. McCoy is a tougher runner than he is given credit for and his vision is unreal. I am not going to miss the old "Spiller up the middle for a half yard" play 20 times a game.
