thebandit27 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Sounds like they told him starting LG and backup OT for now... Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 8m8 minutes ago In all about 25 teams expressed interest in Collins. Dallas sold him today. Gets chance to start at LG immediately next to a strong center.. Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 8m8 minutes ago As for how Cowboys will use Collins, it's likely his shot at snaps comes at left guard, but I'm told Dallas sees him as a G/OT swing player. LG, so they plan to move Zach Martin or Mackenzie Bernadeau?
TC in St. Louis Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 who among us hasn't been interviewed about a murder? Great point.
John from Riverside Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Our D line is licken their chops Collins......
Johnny Hammersticks Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 considering he was not a suspect we should have used our 7th on him and got the steal of the draft. shows that a good line needs high draft picks too Have you been under a rock? He publicly stated that if he was drafted after the 3rd round he wouldn't sign with the team and re-enter the 2016 draft.
Wayne Cubed Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 LG, so they plan to move Zach Martin or Mackenzie Bernadeau? I think he'll be replacing Ronald Leary.
negativo Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I hate Dallas. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate Dallas. Is it jealously? Maybe. Partly. It's also a cultural hate. Arrogant pretty boy hate. Smug, cocky, entitlement hate. Regardless of the reasons, the simple fact remains that I HATE Dallas.
YoloinOhio Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 LG, so they plan to move Zach Martin or Mackenzie Bernadeau? This person's name does not suit an O lineman
Buffalo Barbarian Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Aaron Hernandez wasn't a suspect either, until they built a case. What are you talking about. When they started investigating Hernandez was THE SUSPECT. It's pretty clear that Collins is not.
NoSaint Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Have you been under a rock? He publicly stated that if he was drafted after the 3rd round he wouldn't sign with the team and re-enter the 2016 draft. Fact or not, we will never know.

He should send La'el a bill

thebandit27 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I think he'll be replacing Ronald Leary. Ah...Leary...not Bernadeau. Just surprising that he'd go there to play guard.
Wayne Cubed Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Ah...Leary...not Bernadeau. Just surprising that he'd go there to play guard. Yea, I had him pegged for replacing Free, who's getting on a bit. They'll have a very very good OL and I still can't believe how cheap they have Tyron Smith for but the guy just doesn't care about the money. They could keep this line together for a good couple of years if not more.
Lurker Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Let's shut this sucker down, no? Jesus, yes. Maybe I can get some work done now...
GaryPinC Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Wonder if he just preferred to stay in the southern climate.
ronaldo922 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) This is a terrible terrible move by the Bills Management. Obviously they had great interest in Collins and we all know OL is a huge need that we only filled with Incognito. So you can't spend a 7th round pick to get him? or buy into the last 4 picks of the 7th round. Pegula isnt cheap and takes risks, i.e Incognito, so buying the 3rd last pick in the draft to get Collins wasn't thought of? #1 Its poor publicity that your coach runs down to Baton Rouge 3 days after the draft to woo this guy and lose him. So fanbase knows you were interested in a guy that you could have full control of and for cheap 3 days earlier, but choose to get in a free for all with teams that have an advantage over you. i.e locations, coaches familiar with hiim etc. I dont care if Collins said he wouldn't play for a year if drafted after 3rd round. you take the kid with a 7th and give up 50,000 dollars and call his bluff. Also all he got was 3 years for 1.6 million. I'm sure Bills would be ok paying your starting tackle 1.6 over 3 years. we overpaid an average to slightly above avg TE/FB but couldn't risk 50K on a guy that could be our starting tackle at 1.6 for 3 years? It all comes down to risk/reward. The cost curve on this kid was sooo low that you would be an idiot to not spend a 7th on him. considering how many 7th round picks get cut, the cost curve is low. The bills dont care from a fan relations perspective or else they wouldn't sign Incognito if were very tight on that policy etc. Harvin had team issues etc. I understand Collins issues are bigger but again for a 7th round pick cost, its nothing Terrible job by the Bills. It's also a terrible job by every other suitor including Dolphins Edited May 7, 2015 by ronaldo922
