LB3 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Actually, no. I just remember when the Raiders would play the 'niners, and my dad and I would grab a jar of pepperoncinis and watch the "neck off" between Williams and Hanks. Haha. That's even better!
3rdand12 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Well, at least it wasn't a question about silly walks. That takes me back !! Now that the Wells report is complete on deflategate, maybe he could look into this disturbing trend. thank goodness some one has brought this subject to the light. Edited May 7, 2015 by 3rdand12
Agent 91 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Spikes was a mutant! I saw him in person and thats all i can come up with I was certain that this would be a Merton Hanks thread... Old rubber neck himself. You cant say neck and football without Merton. I think ken Irvin was a little long as well. Cant remember though
Uncle Monkeyhead Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Merton was a great player. Always stuck his neck out for his teammates
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) Fake. How can you be sure? Is it the faded neck lips? Those might be real Edited May 8, 2015 by over 20 years of fanhood
KD in CA Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 I was certain that this would be a Merton Hanks thread... Great call! I was always afraid he was going to be involved in a big hit and hit whole head was going to pop right off.
Numark3 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Fake. Do you yell at little kids santa isn't real, proud you know better?
thebandit27 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Wasn't Takeo's neck like 26.5" Having been in the locker room post game, I can tell you that Takeo was the thickest human being I've ever seen, and I've trained with a number of pro strength athletes. Takeo was a specimen built from granite. A science experiment gone more than right. Had he not been seriously injured, he'd be a HOFer IMO.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 No. Really? I never would have guessed. Yeah. If you look closely you can see where it stretches in an awkward way. All I'm saying is we're trying to have a serious conversation about necks here, and you come in with this tomfoolery.
