accolades come with wins.

So last year when we were 6-10, Mario was 29 and Kyle was 32...

And how about DeSean Jackson, Trent Williams and Khalil Mack ahead of Dareus with their 2-3 win teams?

DeSean got a lot of pub during his tenure with a winning Eagles organization. Mack is still riding the wave of draft/rookie publicity. Trent Williams... well, ok, you got me there.

Not surprised they underrated Mario and Dareus. They're on the Bills. Gotta get back in the playoffs, and they'll climb.

Still, how cool is it that our entire D Line is in their. They are the identity of the team, and that's pretty awesome if you ask me. I hope Bruce Smith is proud.

i believe the answer is simply -- you give a bunch of nfl players a chance to vote and they will vote for friends, guys they are familiar with, and a bunch of random stuff. depending on the scoring system and how close guys are - 25 through 50 could be pretty arbitrary year to year.

Certainly. I know that's what it really comes down to, and of course only some of the players choose to vote year-to-year.

I wonder if all four guys making the top 100 may have somehow worked against each one's individual ranking. For example, if Mario had the same season playing with 3 nobodies and therefore no one to take the pressure off of him, would he have been rated higher?

Exactly. People shouldn't expect a whole lot of continuity in this.

If you're in, you're in. Congratulations.

Of all the possible issues with this list, I'm surprised you are going after Viniateri and Forsett. Viniateri is still one of the best kickers in the game and it's fair to include one kicker, and Forsett had quite a good season.

No kidding I thought Forsett had a bad year. The whole point of the players (so I thought) was they're supposed to be in the know. "These guys don't get caught up in highlights/stats, they know the game; casual fans always underrate the trenches". Yet there are always more RBs than OLmen on this list despite there being 500% more of the latter. Viniateri has zero replacement value on most teams. At least Andre Giroud & John Kuhn didn't make it this year - Kuhn the lead blocking specialist apparently only makes it when the Packers running game sucks but ya know, GB fans chant his name and stuff.
