YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Nice gesture. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000491122/article/goodell-surprises-jamestown-pub-owner-with-eagles-jersey
dwight in philly Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) very nice gesture.. i know it is fashionable to bust on goodell, and there are valid reasons to do so, but being a staunch defender of buffalo and WNY, i do not get the hate on him.. again, i know he is not riding high right now, but i just will never get on a buffalo guy.. SF Bills Fan Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Goodell is an extremely intelligent guy and media savvy. He was able to survive the controversy around Ray Rice that would have taken many others down. I hope he is generous when we need the new stadium. The NFL can kick in 100 s of millions when needed.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 very nice gesture.. i know it is fashionable to bust on goodell, and there are valid reasons to do so, but being a staunch defender of buffalo and WNY, i do not get the hate on him.. again, i know he is not riding high right now, but i just will never get on a buffalo guy.. He grew up in WNY rooting for the Steelers. that guy.
dwight in philly Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 He grew up in WNY rooting for the Steelers. that guy. did not know that. surprising for sure.. but still think he knows and appreciates what the bills mean to WNY.
Lurker Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 The Goodell family still has deep affection for the Jamestown area and spends time whenever they can at Chatauqua...
TallskiWallski83 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) The whole situation is It is sad in many ways. A guy like Roger Goodell has to legitimately LOVE the game of football to get as far as he has. It must be painful inside for him to hear the boos everywhere he goes.$40 Million a year dont hurt though Edited May 5, 2015 by TallskiWallski83
Fan in San Diego Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Personally I like Rodger. I wont bag on an ex Buffalo guy. Plus he was dealt a tough hand with a lot of issues. I think he is doing a good job. Go Rodger!
PromoTheRobot Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I thought Roger was personally delivering a summons to the bar for showing NFL games without paying a fee.
bladiebla Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 So the NFL PR department has caught on to the booing of Goodell and has embarked on a feel good PR campaign...
C.Biscuit97 Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 He can be a good guy and terrible at his job. A hippo could be just as successful as NFL commissioner. He probably would have handled the Rice and Deflategate situations better.
