Mark80 Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) Too bad that isn't the right play. The snap he dropped was at his ankles and their punter is #12. Edited October 18, 2015 by Mark80
YoloinOhio Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 The snap was fine - why the heck he pitched it is the question
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 i was listening to Kiper this morning and he liked his performance yesterday but projected Cook to go in the 2nd round!
26CornerBlitz Posted October 20, 2015 Author Posted October 20, 2015 Ohio State makes QB change, will start J.T. Barrett vs. Rutgers
YoloinOhio Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I don't agree with this assessment by Joe Schad-- I think he will be a late round pick. @schadjoe: If Cardale Jones never plays for Ohio State again, I think he'll still be drafted in the first two rounds of the next NFL Draft
26CornerBlitz Posted October 22, 2015 Author Posted October 22, 2015 @sn_nfl The Cardale Jones debate: Did he whiff by not leaving for 2015 NFL draft? http://dlvr.it/CWhMKl
JohnC Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 @sn_nfl The Cardale Jones debate: Did he whiff by not leaving for 2015 NFL draft? http://dlvr.it/CWhMKl From a drafting position standpoint not coming out last year hurt him. But from a player development standpoint staying and developing his game, even if he is drafted at a lower position, will be useful when he enters the pro ranks . In his college career he has minimal playing experience. What good is it being drafted sooner and higher and be less prepared to paly in the pro game. What is evident with his play this year is that he still has a long way to go to be a polished qb and be adequately enough prepared to make the transition to the pro game. When you watch qb such as Connor Cook or Goff you realize how rudimentary his skills are at this point. It's not about how high you will be drafted so much as putting oneself in a better position to succeed at the next level.
YoloinOhio Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 He was never going to declare for the draft. It doesn't matter if they think he would have gone higher last year than this year. He's a mid to late rounder and that's about where he should be to be in a developmental QB role in the NFL.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Should he go in the 5th? 1st overall smart guy
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Cardale Jones. The fact that people thought he was gonna be good makes me laugh.
JimBob2232 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Cardale Jones. The fact that people thought he was gonna be good makes me laugh. The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh.
YoloinOhio Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh.why? He had played 3 games and wasn't anywhere near ready.
Cleveland Rocks? Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh. You are laughing at a 22 year old kid who made a decision to stay in school, get his degree, and continue to prepare for an NFL career instead of jumping in completely raw? Do you even know the story on Jones? Edited October 23, 2015 by Cleveland Rocks?
sjjr Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh. He still has some really exciting tools for a NFL team to want to develop. He'll also be sitting behind an elite player in JT Barrett by the way after he already forced a really good player, in Braxton Miller, to move to WR. He'll be drafted in the next year or two when he comes out, no doubt.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 The fact he didn't declare last year when he was a top pick makes me laugh. I would have laughed at whoever picked him then.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Watched UCLA Vs Cal and both Goff (would be cool if his name was Goth ...) and Rosen looked great. Goff was under a lot of pressure but still made great throws, his movement in the pocket was outstanding, reminds me of Brady. Rosen was lights out, if we struggle through TT for a couple yrs maybe we can get this kid.
