Talk is heating up that Leonard Floyd could crack the top-5 to Jacksonville.

I heard that too. Seems like he'd be overvalued if selected as a top 5 pick.

I will say this for Floyd, he is peaking at the right time. A month ago I would have thought that he was a reach at 19. I have too many questions about his production. Now, it seems like it is HIGHLY unlikely that he will be on the board at 19. I would be surprised if he is there at 12 and really surprised if he were there at 15.

There's also been quite a bit of talk that he'll get picked by Atlanta if he's on the board for them.

Apparently they see him as a possible Mike or Will LB. Which is......interesting.

just stop with the

Robert Nkemdiche

to Buffalo at 19 crap. Rather have Spence actually

I will seriously toss something.

Hmm let me talk you off that ledge. If they take Diche at 19 they are undoubtedly getting one of the most talented players in the draft-not just dline. Motivation and maturity are the inherent risk with him, talent is not. IF he goes "all in" he will be something special and will have an earlier impact than some of these other names being lauded over.

Plenty of guys who will fall into that 15-30 range that would be much more infuriating than an uber talented albeit immature Diche.

There is a quote out from a defensive line coach " I think he'll either drive you crazy or make you look like a genious. Probably not a lot of middle ground is my guess." That about sums it up...his strength and versatility would be a perfect fit. Just need to trust Rex and company to get his production to match his talent. The twins get paid to coach defense if they can't get something out of this kid then we are simply paying the wrong guys.

I wouldn't touch him unless I knew I had a great LBs coach and 2 solid starters on the edge. He's got all the athletic ability in the world, but I've seen too many "LBs" with WR bodies that don't transition well to spend a top-10 pick on a guy like that.

My big thing with this player is with all of his talent he should have been MUCH more productive in college

That scares me

Right and that's the reason he is going to be available mid-late first, all the pundits were talking him up as the potential top pick in the draft early in the college football season. He followed that up with some inconsistent play and the window incident. No doubt you would need to see something in him as a person to draft him, as far as I know they didn't have him up for a visit. That is an indication he won't be coming here at 19 because this is the exact type of kid you would want to understand better before drafting. (Unless of course they love him so much from the combine interaction that they are laying low)

I appreciate you thoughtfulness.

But i am rather adamant about this guy.

Hope he comes around, and tears up the NFC.

Do not worry, i will toss something soft at the TV. But toss I will.

As an ILB, he's honestly not a million miles away from a guy like Brian Urlacher athletically. The comparisons are few and far between at MLB/WLB, obviously. Urlacher is the name I've seen thrown about simply because he was taller than your average LB and a pretty explosive athlete for his size.

He didn't look terrible playing off the LOS this year but it's still a massive projection inside. I hope the Falcons take him!

Didn't Urlacher return punts in college? He was a crazy athlete.

Averaged 15.8 yards per return on punts in his senior year. Had 7 catches as a WR too, 6 of them for touchdowns.

This man was 6'4", 258 pounds at the Combine in 2000. That's incredible.

Gil Brandt's Hot 100 + 40: Tunsil tops ratings
Gil Brandt goes 140 players deep in his prospect rankings for the 2016 NFL Draft, a list topped with a player who could be a high-level talent in the NFL for many years.

This is the 56th year that I have done rankings of NFL draft prospects. In the early years, from 1960-66, we put together a pre-fall rankings because from 1960 until the first common draft in 1967, the draft took place on the first Monday after Thanksgiving Day (for example, the 1966 draft took place on Nov. 27, 1965).

In those days, we had about one percent of the information on prospects that we have today. Back then, there were not a lot of confirmed heights, weights and speed times that we have access to today.

Prior to 1960, interest in the draft was almost nonexistent. At the 1964 draft, which was held on Dec. 2, 1963, we had less than 10 media personnel attend. This year, according to Greg Aiello of NFL PR, the league will issue around 1,700 credentials to media from around the world.

Here are my Hot 100 prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft.
