I like the 4-3 instead of switching it once again. Talent and scheme diversity are two keys in front seven personnel since they run a hybrid defense with multiple looks. 26CornerBlitz
@Gil_Brandt 1-18 in this draft are elite. 19-50 all about the same. Could see a lot of trading back in bottom third of first round. @mikerodak Mike Rodak Retweeted Gil Brandt That would put Bills, No. 19, on the edge. BADOLBILZ
NFL Combine Musings: Bowl games are a top prospect's worst enemy Actually, college football is their worst enemy. With colleges now focusing hard on playing simple spread systems that don't mesh with the professional game..........therefore delivering ill-prepared talent to the league.......particularly at QB.....you gotta wonder if the NFL isn't thinking about creating a minor league system for college aged players. It could be done by creating a league of 32 big $ football factory schools.......the best of SEC, ACC, Pac 10, Big Ten and Big 12 schools. The NCAA would hate it......but the NCAA is pocketing billions and not providing enough pro ready talent. If these were engineers or accountants coming in as untrained for the real world as these players then colleges would have to conform to the demands of the job market. As for Jaylon Smith............if he doesn't get picked in the first 3 rounds he should just re-hab and re-enter the draft next year.

JohnC
Jaylon Smith had a $5M insurance policy against injury. He will be drafted in the mid rounds and cash in on the policy. I would not be reluctant to draft him in the second round and let him use the year to rehab if necessary. If healthy he's a top ten talent. Well worth the investment.
