Jared Goff time. Will we see Aaron Rodgers-ish play or somewhere between Eli Manning and Ryan Tannehill?

Miami Hurricanes cornerback Artie Burns, who lost his mother to a heart attack in October, announced he will skip his senior season to enter the 2016 NFL Draft to help support his siblings.

Not overly impressed. Love the size but their offense is gimmicky. He definitely isn't ready for prime time yet. He needs to sit for a year or 2 (like 95% of college Qbs) to have a real future.

jmo but there isn't a QB in this draft who doesn't need to sit for a year or 2.

Unfortunately, some desperate team will draft one high and start him right away expecting immediate results (Browns). Hopefully they don't with McCown there but he's injury prone so who knows how many games be even plays.

Fortunately for us, the Bills are not in that situation and if they do take one, he's developing behind Tyrod as a goal. If Tyrod gets hurt, I think they will have another option as well behind him whether it's EJ or a vet.

Recently put this in the QB in 1st round draft thread, but figured I would put it here as well. I enjoy reading thoughts from others on who they may want, especially guys after the first round, so figured I would add my thoughts to the conversation.

One area we need to improve next year is our group of WRs as a whole. Yes, we have some talent, but we are not nearly talented enough after Sammy and Woods (I know some debate Woods' talent, I feel he is a solid 2 or 3 who should be on the field a lot and utilized more).

Anyway, we should take a WR in the draft, and I think it should be Rashard Higgins from CSU.

Last year, with an experienced QB he had 17 TD grabs and led the nation with 1,750 receiving yard. Entering this year, he was considered by some to be the best WR in the nation, and was a consensus first round selection.

Unfortunately for him, he had a few injury issues early in the season (which are now in the past and he finished the season strong) and played with a QB who was making his first college starts. Despite missing some time he still finished with 75 catches for over 1000 yards and 8 TDs. He had 9 catches for 129 yards in the Rams bowl game last night.

Higgins is listed at 6-2, 190 and has had his 40 time clocked at 4.4. Because of his down year, draft predictions now have him in the 3rd or 4th round.

I feel as this would be an exception pick in the 3rd, and an even better value in the 4th, especially since he has 1st round talent. Imagine a guy like this playing opposite Sammy. Our offense would automatically become more dangerous.

The coaches at OSU did him a favor then. It's sad what hoe college teams run college rbs into the ground.

IMO, rbs have a certain number of carries they can have before they fall apart. Schools like Wisconsin run these guys into the ground and they are shells of themselves at the NFL level. You can also see it with some of the Alabama guys.

this is why McCaffrey should go pro after next yr (hopefully to the Bills  , could be a Marshall Faulk type player)

This should be the Bills new marketing slogan!

Goff reminds me more of Brady, great in the pocket no so much out of it.

Paxton Lynch on now - ESPN - for those interested

seems to be struggling to move the offense so far, but he has all the tools to be great however being in the spread will slow his learning curve.

I think good Wideouts and a decent O-Line can really make a QB. Look what Marshall & Decker did for Fitzpatrick this year. That said, I'd rather find an experienced receiver who has shown they can catch and run routes rather than draft one in the 1st round who may or may not be able to do those things. The Bills have already invested two 1st rounders to get Watkins so no more at that position.
