YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Even if he selects another team, it won't be for lack of effort on the Bills. I also love the message boards melting down on all the other teams about why they didn't fly to baton rouge to take him to dinner. Get on Terry's plane, get this kid away from the national media and into our building. You are our 1st round pick La'el, only one other team could claim that.Seattle could but who wants to play for a team that pisses away the SB. Oh.

I was thinking about that earlier today.
YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Ha ha, how good of a recruiter would Rex Ryan be in college?!? I was thinking about that earlier today.i don't think he would appreciate all the ncaa rules, haha. But yes - he would be really great.
sodbuster Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 @BrettBuffington: Just talked with #laelcollins who told me "God is good" he left with @buffalobills head coach. Neither saying anything about meeting @WBRZTerry is God.
Major Mud Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Whaley is brilliant, he may get a first round player, without having a first round pick, and without having to pay first round money......Hiring Rex, also seems brilliant from a recruiting standpoint. Edited May 5, 2015 by chiefbigtalljoe
Chuck Wagon Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Ha ha, how good of a recruiter would Rex Ryan be in college?!? I was thinking about that earlier today. When it looked like Harbaugh wasn't going to happen I told a buddy Rex should be Michigan's top target.
YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Whaley is brilliant, he may get a first round player, without having a first round pick, and without having to pay first round money.RIP Mike Schopp
DC Tom Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Whaley is brilliant, he may get a first round player, without having a first round pick, and without having to pay first round money. Can Whaley do that when Pegula owns the Sabres?
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Can Whaley do that when Pegula owns the Sabres? What if Edmonton selects Collins instead of McDavid?
McBeane Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Can Whaley do that when Pegula owns the Sabres? I think The Ralph and FNC are far enough apart that it's legal. Edited May 5, 2015 by Marcellosaurus
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 So I guess "unsanctioned" means without his agents. I have a feeling Collins' agents are flipping out.
YoloinOhio Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 @OmarKelly: #Dolphins will reportedly meet with LSU O-lineman La'el Collins on Tuesday http://t.co/sNRI2fnxgx
Kirby Jackson Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Yolo, I took your advice and went to some other boards. It's so funny watching other fans try to convince themselves that the Bills aren't a threat to land him. They have some real gems like, "it's always snowing, etc..." The reality is that outside of McCown and Bulaga. I think that the Bills landed every other guy that they expressed an interest in. At the same time, they lost guys like Spiller (and maybe Spikes) that BEGGED to come back. These aren't your older brother's Bills... Edited May 5, 2015 by Kirby Jackson

I have a feeling Collins' agents are flipping out.It sounds like they do have a sanctioned meeting set up for tomorrow but it's after miami. So he flew down tonight and set up dinner without going through the agent to get in first. Smart.

ExWNYer Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Can Whaley do that when Pegula owns the Sabres? Pegula can't own the Bills AND the Sabres. Where the hell have you been??
purple haze Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I remain puzzled why no team used a 7th round pick on him. Super low risk, high reward. If he were drafted he could choose not to sign, sit out the year and re-enter the 2016 draft. As an UDFA, he doesn't have that option.
BillnutinHouston Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 buffrumblings said his family will want him closer to home. If I'm him, I want to gtfo of baton rouge at this point. Rex/Pegs can counter that by offering liberal use of the PegsAir jet.
