either this was planned, and they kept the group intact until the draft is over for efficiency reasons.

or..... something so obvious was overlooked in the draft and the owner found out, injury, or something

This is not that uncommon as Eagles also canned a couple scouts after the draft. New guys in charge want their own ppl in place and will now start fresh for next years draft

Normal with new GM. They wait until after the draft because the scouts have a lot of important info.

Yep this. By the time the new GM was hired the scouts had already been working for months, and the scouts the GM wanted still had jobs with other teams.

It was this. Nothing that happened at the draft caused them to be fired. You keep the old scouts because there is not enough time for new scouts to do anything.

Do the scouting job and get fired. Question is were they fired for poor job they did or did they wait until after draft to keep lip on information they knew?

The New York Jersey Jets have fired director of pro personnel Brendan Prophett and five members of the scouting department.

When a new GM is brought in, usually in January, the scouts are already well in to their work for the draft. Hard to fire them before the draft
