13player Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I know people will think I'm crazy but if the bills don't trade back and Landon is on the board he will be their guy. I don't believe for a second they are 100% happy with Duke Williams and we know Rex loves the strong secondary. He will start day 1 and be a huge addition to the secondary. 1st rd talent and no idea why he has slipped. this draft is way to deep in G to pass on a kid like this. IMHO

IMHO I would think that Rex would LOVE Duke Williams. He is exactly what Rex loves in the position. He's fast and incredibly physical. He plays with an edge.

IMHO Duke Williams looked good last year and reports are he's ready to take over.......Why don't you believe that for a second?
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I doubt he gets past Tampa at 34... http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2015/05/breaking_down_potential_landin.html Tampa has needs in quite a few places. I doubt he's a lock. I can see Tampa going OL or Pass Rusher just as easily as I can see them going Safety
Chuck Wagon Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Tampa's gotta go Oline, Jameis is going to get killed behind that unit. Jake Fisher or TJ Cummings.
Gestes72 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I don't think Tampa will take him but the Bears are probably a lock to take him.
kelsay2sackseason Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 ive never been big on taking safeties real high... jmo but hes a really good player, and bpa
ganesh Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 We are picking 50th in the 18th spot in the draft. Even if Tampa does not pick him, there are 16 other teams that pick before us.
Big C Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Duke is the guy. Don't see them taking safety at 50, but maybe another 4th or 5th rounder for depth.
NoSaint Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 ive never been big on taking safeties real high... jmo but hes a really good player, and bpa 50 isnt "real high" though, so hes got that going for him.

He plays with an edge. We talking about our Duke williams? I haven't noticed him do much of anything, but am no expert.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I'm not 100% on Duke, but there are far larger problems looming.
NoSaint Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I would think that Rex would LOVE Duke Williams. He is exactly what Rex loves in the position. He's fast and incredibly physical. He plays with an edge. even if they LOVE duke, i still think if opportunity came for a 3rd safety, they wouldnt hesitate. a situation like we might see tonight could be a big part of waiting on landry. we could end up with a better player, cheaper.
kelsay2sackseason Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 the problem is the bills have a filled out roster starter wise, so you go bpa, collins, lael collins, gregory, cann, etc
LB3 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Duke is the guy. Don't see them taking safety at 50, but maybe another 4th or 5th rounder for depth. This is what I'm hoping for. Durell Eskridge in the 5th.
BuffaloHokie13 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 This is what I'm hoping for. Durell Eskridge in the 5th. that or the ILB from michigan state
Solomon Grundy Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) Jaquiski Tartt is who I want them to draft. He'll lay the lumber to you a la Leonard Smith, but with coverage skills Edited May 1, 2015 by the skycap
Chuck Wagon Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) I like him as a pure football player, but Collins seems like a dinosaur from a past era, related to the Roy Williams / Mike Doss "in the box" type safeties. Now teams want guys like Demareus Randall, McCourty, Byrd, Aaron Williams who can both play in zone as well as cover guys. Collins struggles with both of those aspects.
