The playing around with movie audiences has ended. It is time to get serious.

This year's Summer Movie Season begins with a massive explosion, with plenty of action, adventure, thrills and laughs to satisfy us all. The month of May is always dominant, and this year will be no different.

This month is also a big moment for Disney, as they release two behemoth tentpole movies that will have plenty of people raving. And it's only just the start for the studio.

The superheros of Marvel reunite for a second time with "Avengers: Age of Ultron". When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and it is up to the Avengers to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans. Audiences have not grown tired with this series and it appears that this will only add more excitement to it. This will be director Joss Whedon's last time helming this series, and he has literally put a lot into it. A 2 hour 40 minute running time is a lot for a comic book movie, but most fans probably will not care, considering what this movie will lead up to. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgard, Julie Delpy, Andy Serkis & Thomas Kretschmann.

After the month of May begins, Disney strikes again during Memorial Day weekend with their sci-fi adventure, "Tomorrowland". Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory. Disney has kept this project mostly under wraps, but has so much confidence in it to give it a prime release date. We shall see how it pays off. Starring George Clooney, Britt Robertson, & Hugh Laurie. Directed by Brad Bird.

Tom Hardy & Charlize Theron star in "Mad Max: Fury Road". In a post-apocalyptic world, in which people fight to the death, Max teams up with a mysterious woman, Furiousa, to try and survive. Warner Bros. and director George Miller are hoping that people have not forgotten about this post apocalyptic anti-hero, and are willing to come out to see what an updated version can do for this series.

Reese Witherspoon & Sofia Vergara star in the buddy-comedy, "Hot Pursuit". An uptight and by-the-book cop tries to protect the outgoing widow of a drug boss as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.

Bradley Cooper stars in "Aloha". A celebrated military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs and re-connects with a long-ago love while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog assigned to him. Also starring Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, John Krasinski, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin & Bill Murray. Directed by Cameron Crowe.

The Bellas are back in "Pitch Perfect 2". After a humiliating command performance at Lincoln Center, the Barden Bellas enter an international competition that no American group has never won in order to regain their status and right to perform. Starring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Hailee Steinfeld & Brittany Snow.

Finally, Dwayne Johnson stars in "San Andreas". In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey across the state in order to rescue his estranged daughter. Also starring Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, & Colton Haynes.

Avengers 2 was not that good. It was not as good as the first one, which was elevated by Loki. Loki made Thor 2 work great.

The whole twins thing was stretched. The whole thing came off as a little forced at times and little lazy.

That somehow we really believe in the way this story is told that Hawkeye has a family? WTF

And, Johanson has a thing for the Hulk? She has been the weakest link in all of the movies and they gave her a plot line with the Hulk?!

And the whole thing about the metal from the shield not being explored enough and just barely touching on what it can do - next thing you know it is floating a city out of the ground to make a giant asteroid? That's totally a comic scene idea but didn't translate as well as it could have.

Just a good movie. Not as good as some of the others, maybe the worst out of all the series of them but very interested to see where they go next as they display the whole new group of Avengers at the end when the old group leaves.

Oh, and what the hell? We have Samuel Jackson fly in this carrier out of no where having barely been in the film? The film just didn't sync well, there was no harmony.

Thanks Vader! I actually liked Pitch Perfect so will probably see the sequal.

Your welcome Yolo.

I never saw Pitch Perfect, so I'll be skipping the sequel, although I like Hailee Steinfeld.

Tomorrowland is next for me, sometime this week.

The sequel was pretty funny, as enjoyable as the first but (and I can't believe I'm going to type this) the music wasn't as catchy for me this time. I'm headed to see Tomorrowland this afternoon, looking forward to that. I am with JBoyst in the sense the latest Avengers didn't move me. My complaints are different than Boyst's but the end result was the same. I found Avengers 2 to be enjoyable noise. With 41 one super hero focused movies in development or production, I think we're seeing a bit of over saturation of the super hero movie.

Mad Max is up next for me after Tomorrowland, was supposed to go yesterday but couldn't get out of work in time.

Yes it is over saturation, yet the public has not gotten tired of it. Mostly because they have been quality movies for the most part.

We've had an over saturation of romantic comedies for ages now and that will never stop.

I found the new Avengers to be missing something as well. I would rank it around average as far as the marvel cinematic universe films released to date go.

I agree about it just not feeling in sync. I read that they had to cut around 60 minutes out of the movie because they had way too much story.

My thought is that maybe if they release the full unedited version on bluray the story will flow a little better and feel more up to par with the first even though that would be a pretty long super hero movie.

Looking forward to Fury road. The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome were two of my favorite movies.

Fury Road was fantastic. Granted my expectations might have been a little lower but I enjoyed it much more than Age of Ultron. It is just a fun action ride from start to finish.

I must be the only person I know who was hugely disappointed by Fury Road. I loved the first three films, but this one just did not do it for me.

Holy ****, what a mammoth crap-fest of a movie. They just didn't kill a major character, and I actually feel bad for her because it means she's not done with the movie.
