Nanker Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 It's such a pity he can't hang with them and carry on in front of the camera. That's some really great appointment Television the world will be missing.
KD in CA Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Michael Irvin; the bravado of Deion Sanders, the articulation of Emmitt Smith and the enunciation of Shannon Sharp, all rolled into one. What a joy to see on TV.

What a joy to see on TV. I actually like Deion. But I love guys like Irvin that find God after they get busted with hookers and pepsi. And who cares? Winston seems so slimy to me that I'm glad I don;t have to see him. Edited April 29, 2015 by C.Biscuit97
jumbalaya Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I met Michael in Miami after the Bills loss last year. He is a very nice guy and still has arms of steel.
Chuck Wagon Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I really wonder how much the location plays into this. Short of Joe Thomas (who is just wired differently than most guys), I struggle to come up with many high profile guys who skipped the draft in NY, certainly no year like this year. My concern with the draft moving is if you get years where the draft is in a "cool" city like Miami or LA and 100% attend followed by years the draft is in Buffalo or Green Bay and you get a 50% attendance rate.
thebug Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 What does he care? He probably wouldn't remember the conversation anyway.

I doubt this. Chicago when it isn't freezing is one of the best cities in the country. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. If Winston didn't have his baggage, he would be there. Mariota seems like a legit family guy but I'm sure there are concerns he could do the Brady Quinn thing too. I met Michael in Miami after the Bills loss last year. He is a very nice guy and still has arms of steel. I would have loved to party with him in his prime.

That's the result of the media sticking a camera in his face every 30 seconds that day until he had to go hide in the green room. Can you imagine the modern coverage of Dan Marino falling to #26??

Look at Arick Armstead as the prime example. This draft has 10 guys with a 1st round grade according to one personnel guy. So if you are not Cooper or Williams or someone like that who will absolutely be gone by pick 10 there is some risk. A guy that some are projecting to go 15ish (like a TJ Clemmings) could still be on the board when the Bills pick the next day at 50. Edited April 29, 2015 by Kirby Jackson
billsfan1959 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 He would probably be more supportive if they were skipping the draft to spend their time in motel rooms with cocaine and prostitutes...
