Brandon Spikes was the #8 rated ILB against the run last year, the same year our run defense was much improved. It's baffling why they haven't brought him back, it's not like signing him would hurt their chance at a compensatory pick, which is a stupid idea anyways. (He's going to help more than a 6th round pick next year.)

I would think he's the kind of player that Rex would love to have on his defense.

He recently tweeted, "Heart in one place, mind in another," right after he visited New England...he wants to be in Buffalo, but money might be available back in New England.

Completely agree. I'll be seriously disappointed if we don't bring him back.

I dont like his hair. And I hate that sunglasses shade on his helmet. When I played we didnt need a shade on our helmets.

Spikes is a great Vet min player to have. Reliable and going to give you something at some point, no point not to grab him.

They { offensive players } cannot see who the mike is focused on. you know that.

dont turn your head just move your eyes to the play. hence the the advantage

btw i dont like his hair either buts its a trend

Not worth what? The veteran minimum?

I would give him that plus free burritos from my favorite joint in Brockport. on my dime.

I would love to have Spikes back at the right price. He would be an instant leader in the lockerroom and a benefit to those young guys. I think he is resigned to the fact that he isn't a starter anymore. The Bills have one spot on their roster left and I'm not sure LB is the spot they want to spend it. But I'm sure if they worked something out Whaley would make room for him.

Personally I don't think it's going to happen. But we'll see

Oh well

@SalSports: League source tells me a #Bills and LB Brandon Spikes reunion is "highly unlikely." Spikes is still an unsigned FA, visited Pats last week.

:( this sucks I thought we could really use him. Maybe his asking price is just too high for the number of snaps he would play here Edited by YoloinOhio

let me know when you are in the area. I will treat you.

are you bringing Brandon ? because the Apple crispitos are to die for.

Hypocritical and shameful on his part IMO. I like spikes a lot, but have some pride.

A man has to feed his family doesnt he?

It would suck eggs though.

here it is May 12th and we have 90 players.

Veteran minimum is 600,000, no?

I'm sure he could feed 100 families on that. Right fit > extra cash

Then you probalby think our 2nd Round pick Ron Darby is really Jar-Jar Binks.

My point is he need to work. If the Pats are the only team offering him a job , well he kinda has to take it.

i see your point. Right fit ? we dont know the Bills want him anymore.

I do of course : )

The guy wants to play football. He is going to take an offer.

thing i need to keep in mind, he has time still. Injuries , rookie players that dont pan out etc.

Dump C Williams and..

BRING BACK SPIKES goldarnit !
