YoloinOhio Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 (edited) Played with Gilmore at Gamecock U @RapSheet: Meanwhile, Im told the #Texans are trying to trade safety DJ Swearinger. Hes started 22 games over his first 2 seasons. Edited May 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Sojourner Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Any indication as to why? He's been a solid contributor to them since he was drafted in 2013.

I think you may be right Yolo. All indications I have are that the Texans like him.

Thanks, I was just a little confused as to why they would given that they just signed their proposed starter next to him in Rahim Moore. The depth behind the two is non-existent.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I'd seriously look into him. He was awesome in Deadwood.
Guffalo Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I watched him at USC, he is a gamer and does take his shots which can draw a flag. It would be interesting to see what they think they can get for him, Solid player, but at what cost?
Coach Tuesday Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 One of my all-time favorite college FB players.
JM57 Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 He'd be perfect as the in the box safety in this scheme. This boy can HIT
Hazed and Amuzed Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 He wasn't that great last year, he graded out in the bottom 10 of 87 safteys according to PFF. Maybe he'd be a better fit in Ryan's system but I'd be cautious.
YoloinOhio Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 @SBNationNFL: Nothing has been announced, but D.J. Swearinger says hes no longer with the Texans. http://t.co/QalhGyV5L7http://t.co/tmHH3bjinv
Coach Tuesday Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Again, I love this player. He was a beast in college and while he's struggled in the pros, he's very young. I'd salivate over having him learn under Rex Ryan and Donnie Henderson - I really hope this happens.
