Sojourner Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 After the first 5-10 picks, I'll go back to the DVR and go through it quickly. Like Wallski said it's just a production now. 4 hours for one round? No thanks.
Chuck Wagon Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Absolutely. As for the format, I kind of like the new streamlined format. I think people are looking back with nostalgia and forgetting how brutal some of those 5-6 hour 1st rounds used to be. It was ridiculous to give teams 15 minutes per pick and even more ridiculous when teams would take the entire 15 minutes after months of scouting. Now the 1st round is a nice tight tv product that fits into Thursday primetime, you get a day to refresh on Friday before rolling strong into the 2nd and 3rd while Saturday is still a day for the diehards like the old Sunday was. Plus you get a day of your weekend back to enjoy the spring weather or make sure your wife/girlfriend doesn't put you in the dog house.
Dorkington Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I never bother watching the draft... it's dragged out way too long. I'll just check out the board the following day, read up on which players/teams I feel like, and save multiple hours of my life.
eball Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 (edited) While I will not be watching the first round, I do enjoy how quickly the Friday and Saturday rounds go now. Edited April 28, 2015 by eball
Franchiseneedsme Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I'll watch. Doug likes to deal. Maybe a trade for RG3 or even a Cutler trade. Wtfk's what could happen.
Screwball Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Absolutely. Every pick. I've been waiting for any NFL news.. the draft is the next step before the long gap before training camp. It helps if you're in fantasy leagues, it forces you to have abit more interest in teams and players.
