Jerry Jabber Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I saw this on NFL AM this morning. MarQueis is a true class act. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-am/0ap3000000487900/MarQueis-Gray-helps-throw-an-unforgettable-birthday-party
The Avenger Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) I was reading a story about a little girl in Minnesota who was celebrating her 10th birthday and absolutely nobody she invited to her birthday party said they would come - heartbreaking. It seems that she has a genetic condition that causes her to grow faster than other kids, so she doesn't have many friends. Her mom put out an appeal on Facebook and boom - instant huge birthday party attend by some NFL players including our very own MarQueis Gray. I'm very impressed by the support this little girl received and very proud that a good guy like MarQueis could represent our team - good on Marqueis and everyone else who gave this girl a nice party! http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25161323/nfl-players-attend-birthday-party-for-girl-who-thought-no-one-was-coming Edited April 24, 2015 by The Avenger
Peter Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 These kind of stories about kids break my heart. On the other hand, the reaction to the mother's plea (from MarQueis, Charles Johnson, and others) is heart warming.
K D Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 from what little we saw of him last year, this guy looks good. very athletic, former QB, good hands, nice speed. seems like he could play the Clay position in a pinch
Kirby Jackson Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 These kind of stories about kids break my heart. On the other hand, the reaction to the mother's plea (from MarQueis, Charles Johnson, and others) is heart warming. Perfectly said
YoloinOhio Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 from what little we saw of him last year, this guy looks good. very athletic, former QB, good hands, nice speed. seems like he could play the Clay position in a pinchyep he's a poor man's Clay. I assume he will be his backup.
Jerry Jabber Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 I just saw this! He did a great job on TV It was a good interview with MarQueis. It was great to see him surprise the little girl for her birthday.
DerekJ Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Very cool! I'm just getting an all-around good vibe about this team for the coming season. It's in the air man, I'm telling you.
John from Riverside Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I actually think the aquisitiion of Gray is what made Chandler expendable.....
Buftex Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I actually think the aquisitiion of Gray is what made Chandler expendable..... I still have this dream that Chris Gragg turns into something....
kota Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I actually think the aquisitiion of Gray is what made Chandler expendable..... That and Roman appears to like more Athletic TE's who can play in the backfield as well.
Big Turk Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 from what little we saw of him last year, this guy looks good. very athletic, former QB, good hands, nice speed. seems like he could play the Clay position in a pinch Imo Gray is the reason we cut Chandler...
Rocky Landing Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Marqueis Grey, IMO, has the potential to be great. He has a varied skill set, has played as a WR, QB, and FB. He has been described as having great "football intelligence," and he has been getting stronger every year. In the brief time he was on the field last season, he made the plays he had look easy. And, I love this story. A lot of people don't really care so much about the character issues, but I do. I love this guy, and I'm glad he is a Bill. Imo Gray is the reason we cut Chandler... He may not be the reason, but he certainly made it easier.
thebandit27 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 There is nothing in the world better than making some kid's day. Well done, young men.
Gray Beard Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 After seeing that, I will be rooting for this guy to make the team and get some quality playing time.
