The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 Now that they're all 70 or about to become 70 (Pete Townshend next month) they are now know as............. The Huh? Steven Colbert's book had the greatest thing I've ever seen written about the who. "I hope I die before I get old" -Roger Daltrey, Living Old Person.
Azalin Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Many years ago I was in a band that played at the same place every week, but under a different name each time. The ones I can remember: The Savage Nuns Eelface and the Flying Tushees Two Dandy Plumbers Kneecaps, Spleens, and Eddie Runs in Hoses The Nude Fish

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 24, 2015 Author Posted April 24, 2015 I would be ashamed to know that even exists. I don't even know how I came across it, but it angered me. I punched three toddlers.
rockpile Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 The Band Capitol Records would not let them use The Crackers or The Honkies, so they became simply The Band.

Chef Jim Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Gyrus That was our band name in high school. I was looking up names in the Encyclopedia because we wanted something like Lynyrd Skynyrd. My mom doesn't say a word and pulls her medical dictionary off the bookshelf behind her and says "Gyrus". I asked what does it mean. She said "the twisting of the brain." I closed the Encyclopedia and said done and done!

Needless to say my mother was horrified with that.
