While it's nice that President Obama has apologized for killing 1 innocent American civilian, I'd like to see him apologize to ALL innocent civilians killed by his drones regardless of nationality. Then, make amends by ending his drone wars.

You do realize that if he ends "his drone wars" (For F's sake, not another Dog Whistle), he'll have to revert to Bush's Wars...you know, send Delta, Seals, CIA operatives, etc., in and capture these guys instead of kill them, right?

 

You do realize that if he captures these guys we have to put them somewhere, and that somewhere is GITMO, right?

 

You do realize that Delta, Seals, CIA operatives are the ones sitting in the bushes, right now, pointing the lasers at the targets after they've identified them, right? And, that instead of doing that from at least half a click away, they'd be up close and personal with the enemy, right? We would take casualties, and Obama would have to make speeches in front of coffins at Edwards AFB, right?

 

If you realize all this, then you also realize that calling on Obama to end the thing he has been doing, which isn't nearly as effective as capture/interrogate, precisely because:

1. he ran his mouth into something he cannot now behave his way out of

2. he is too much of a coward to give an order that might get somebody killed, not because he cares about them, but because he's afraid of the damage to his ego

3. he's deathly afraid of doing anything Bush did, no matter how much more sense it makes

is patently retarded, right?
