RJsackedagain Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Chargers will look to trade Drew Brees once they franchise him this offseason. Maybe the Bills can dump one and go get Drew another?????
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I'd eat a whole box of puppies for Drew Brees...sadly, that wont happen because we dont have a 1st rounder to give up for Brees.
kasper13 Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Where would you get a box of eatin' puppies on such short notice? All I can get that fast are pettin' puppies.

In Amsterdam they have the best eatin' puppies all year round...everything is legal there.

No chance.
Coach Tuesday Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I'd eat a whole box of puppies for Drew Brees... 232893[/snapback] PM me and we'll set something up - I happen to have one.

KurtGodel77 Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 We could franchise Jennings and use him as part of a package to send to San Diego--though I don't know whether San Diego needs a left tackle. I'd also be willing to add Clements to the package considering that he may become a free agent in a year anyway. Those two players plus our 2006 first round pick should be enough to get Brees. The problem is that Brees may not have the same success in Buffalo that he had in San Diego due to a weak arm. With the swirling winds of the Ralph, you really have to have a strong arm to get the ball where it needs to go.

lawnboy1977 Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Brees has one good year, it doesn't make him an elite QB. He lost his only playoff start. He may develop into a great QB, but it's still one year. I seem to remember Drew having one or 2 great years.
Mark Vader Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 We don't need Brees. Losman is our future. What good would it be to bring in another young QB who will want to be the starter for years to come?
