I don't think there has ever been a schedule that came out which was considered a good one by the TSW. What do you expect? The season to just be handed to us?

If this team is ever going to be anything, it needs to beat good teams and win on the road. We just happen to play in a division with the best team of the last decade and a half, and also 2 other tough divisional opponents. The NFC East is up to bat, and in theory it should be a good division, but I actually expect that division to be weaker this year...Dallas got worse, I have no faith in the moves Philly made (got rid of stud RB for one with one good year behind an elite OL who previously was injury prone plus added a QB made of glass), Washington is still a train wreck, and the Giants don't really scare me either.

Overall, I think the schedule is fine and I am excited the Bills are on primetime 2 weeks in a row against 2 teams making it must watch games...Jets and NE.

Could we have less road games in a 6 game span...sure...but you know what, who cares...we have 8 games on the road, 8 at home...we have to win on the road if we want to make the playoffs and advance in the playoffs. Its better for us to take on Indy and NE at home and early before they have a lot of tape on us. We have plenty of tape on them, but we will completely different than last on both sides of the ball. So to get those two in weeks 1 and 2 and at home is a best case scenario for us.

This team needs to learn to win on the road because with teams like Indy, NE, and Denver odds are that we will have to win multiple road games in the playoffs to advance to the Super Bowl anyway. Better to be road tested in the regular season.

Agreed. People quickly forget the nicety of two home games to start, and two home games to end. I love that. That leaves 4 home games to spread over 13 weeks so yeah there will be gaps.

I don't think we should make a big deal about the NFC East streak either. At first I was hoping Philly will implode, and the Redskins will still suck, but what's the difference between playing the Philly, Redskins, and Dallas, or Titans, Cinci, and Dallas at the end? We still have to play the hard teams sometime.

The biggest concern is the 5/6 away game stretch, but like I said, it comes at the benefit of controlling our destiny at home week 16 and 17, and starting it in week 1 and 2

Actually, what I said was, -They "looked" mean.. -Hardly a label

And I hope you're right about them being just "good" bcuz if you're not, they're gonna be scoring a whole bunch. Big test for a team looking for it's identity.

you are really arguing over use of the word "good"? The strength of my superlative? I asked about the word "mean" because Imo it was an especially strange choice of words for that particular team. I thought maybe you had a reason, like I missed something. That is all I meant, I in no way was trying to say the Colts weren't a good team, since I in fact said they were. Hope that makes sense. I like the two home games that book end the season. I also agree with all who note that to be a good team you have to beat good teams and win on the road. What I remain confused about is the excitement about the Bill's offense....Yes, the team now has a (or the) premier back in the league but isn't the OL essentially the same bad line? And it's unclear to me how the QB situation has been solved.

Anyway, I'm excited about the future as I always am at this time of year.

The QB situation is what it is. They are doing everything possible to alleviate it by getting felton, harvin, clay, incognito, and McCoy. Now we have get a decent draft going, and hope others step up. Not to mention the coaching side of it, and the fact that we have a real offensive coordinator.

wk 5 Bills @ Titans who are coming off a bye wk

Read Sals article on the Bills playing of teams coming off rest.

Sure, the Pats get us with 11 days rest, but it is first week and they will only have preseason film on us at that time. Have zero with Rex as HC and Roman as OC, so maybe not as big an advantage.

Plus week one so hopefully the physical part is not as big an issue.

Then , we get the Pats on. Monday coming off a Thursday night game , so even a extra day there, really close to having another bye. I think Pats play a Sunday 430 gMe week before.

Overall, I think this is slightly favorable for the Bills.

If anyone thinks the Bills schedule is bad, take a look at the Dolphins:

-In there first 10 games, they have 2 real home games. The Jest game is in London.

-They close out the season @San Diego, home against Indy and home against the Pats*

We start with the two best teams in the conference (ie, very possibly 0-2). Nice way to take the edge off an up and coming team.

Absolutely detest this schedule.

If we are going to be the big bad team everybody thinks we are going to be you win games like that at home. Stop pissing & moaning it is a fair schedule.

When you find yourself reading some pimply 24 year old kid who isn't even a Bills fan's game by game predictions of the Bills' schedule in April before the draft, training camp, etc., you have reached the end of the internet and it's time to close your computer and pick up a good book. Or watch some playoff hockey. The again, who am I, I just wasted my time commenting on it.

i actually didn't read it. Not because I hate Rodak, but because I didn't care. It was just a joke that I said "popcorn" due to how the board feels about him as a whole. Thanks for the advice though. Edited by YoloinOhio

Can the moderators put the new schedule up on the home page and drop 2014? It's great to have a quick reference vs. looking it up?

I know it was only yesterday evening, but appreciate it when someone has time.

Thanks guys.

Go Bills!!

I think that will set us up to be the first team to take on Marcus Mariota. I think they sit him the first few games and let him come out of their bye the starter.

Lots of room for implosion for the fish at the end.

Do you think there is no film on Ryan and Roman? Do you think Belichick won't be able to prepare for the Bills properly? Teams rarely fool anyone when they play each other...better team usually wins

Probably one of the best parts of the schedule is the week the Bills are on a bye.

The bye week is a great time to just sit and watch football without sweating anything for the day, and this year you get Pats v Fish on TNF, Jets v Oakland in the afternoon and Packers v Broncos on SNF.

Not bad football watching.

Just 2 questions. Why would you think the Jets/Oakland game is going to be a good one? There 2 of the worst teams in the league. 2nd nice Avatar, how did you not get suspended for that. I made one little snide comment about Graham about 5 years ago & got suspended for a year.

My guess is that it opens at Colts -5.5 Maybe -6.5 by gametime. That's just a guess based on my compulsive gambling.

There is noway it will be 5.5 or 6. It will be ope 3 or under and probably be about even by gametime.

I said compulsive. I didn't say successful...

Although I've had some really good seasons, it's been largely pointless for me to get up at 3am on Saturday mornings and drive five hours to the Palms Casino in Las Vegas... OR make the shorter, but riskier trip to Mexico with hundreds of dollars in my pocket..

I've tried some offshore, but had problems collecting when I won... I've slowed down quite a bit, but it's not all gone yet... Btw, That -3 is sounding REALLY good... I know it's my team, but...

Why don't you just find a good local bookie to hold your action? What the hell are you guys doing out there in California?

If we can't beat the colts or patriots in week 1 or 2, how in the world would we beat them in the playoffs?

I think one thing has been made clear; it's unlikely the Bills are going to get a home prime time game until they're showing off a new stadium in downtown Buffalo.

i don't really get this comment. Teams often win in the playoffs against teams they lost to in the reg season.
