Thurman deserved MVP. Won't happen on the losing end, but it was there for the taking.

If Kelly isn't a bonehead and Levy and Marchibroda would have reigned him in, Thurman would have set a SB record that day. That defensive front that Bellyache presented was an OL's dream with two guys down and everyone else standing up. We could have mauled them all game instead of for the little part of it we actually had the ball.

Great point about the time of possession. At the same time, the offense had opportunities to win the game and they let them slip away. The possession before the end of the half was idiotic at best, like you said Kelly's play calling. That and the opening drive by the Giants in the 3rd quarter was too much to overcome for that particular team. Kind of why I'd bet on a choke. Kelly played below is ability in all four Super Bowls. That's a shame, and no a coincidence.

I think Hull was a 285 guy? House was a big man. Frerotte and Ritcher couldn't have been more than 280. Wolford played under 300 as well at left tackle! Today's left tackles are 7'5" 499lbs.

A modern day defensive front would have demolished that o-line.
