The Wiz
I'm sure he's got a few more years left in him... For head and shoulder commercials that is. Was always a gamer.

Miyagi-Do Karate
One of the greatest players of our generation. I have a co-worker who is close friends with the Polomalus. I will be curious if there is an inside scoop on this.

BillsPride12
He was a gamer no doubt, glad he got to win a Super Bowl. He will be missed
Big C
He has definitely not been the same player the past few seasons, so the decision makes sense. One of the best, most aggressive defensemen I've had the pleasure of watching.
UticaBill
He is just one of those players that was fun to watch and a maniac on the field. Gave his all every play, but his play took its toll.

BarleyNY
overrated. gave up as much as he took away That's how he ended his career (the last couple seasons or so), but it sure wasn't what his game was about during his peak. He was absolutely a game changer. Even the injury knock is a little hollow. He played recklessly - and fast. That's going to take its toll. I expect him to make it to Canton. Incidentally, I heard that the Steelers were pushing him to retire so they wouldn't have to cut him. That's strictly a PR thing. It does increase the possibility of him un-retiring in a few months, however. That'd probably mean following Lebeau to TEN. He isn't nearly the player he was, but he could certainly find a role on an NFL roster.
dave mcbride
overrated. gave up as much as he took away You're wrong. Take a look at his 2005, 2008, and 2010 seasons rater than what he did the last two. Also look at the Steelers' team defensive stats in his prime years. YoloinOhio
overrated. gave up as much as he took awayThat's inevitable when a player has been as great as Troy his whole career, it is more noticeable when play will drop off at the end. At least he realized it and didn't go sign with another team to keep playing. Imo can't imagine how anyone could think he was overrated for his career. Apparently the Steelers wanted him to retire; they didn't want to cut him if they didn't have to. They carried his cap hit this whole time while he made his decision. Respect.
