YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 @caplannfl: #Buccaneers signed LB Larry Dean. I think Whaley wanted to re-sign him for ST but maybe TB is actually going to play him at LB
Kirby Jackson Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Time for me to pick a new example of a guy that shouldn't be dressing on gameday....
YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Time for me to pick a new example of a guy that shouldn't be dressing on gameday.... haha I almost posted that!
FluffHead Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 His brother Jimmy Dean was always a tailgate staple he will be missed
John from Riverside Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Thank you for your bills service Larry Dean Best of luck in your future!
K D Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 ehh I'd rather have Paula Dean. at least then Icognito would have someone like-minded to converse with
Freddie's Dead Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Larry Dean was a solid Buffalo Bill and a good ST player. Farewell, and best of luck to you sir.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Time for me to pick a new example of a guy that shouldn't be dressing on gameday.... Jordan Gay. Not a total waste but we will probably want to have an extra TE in there or safety or Lb in there. We want Roman and Rex to have the whole tool kit to do what they do.
YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 @mikerodak: Bucs have signed former Bills LB Larry Dean, who was core special teams player last season. Loss helps Bills in compensatory pick formula.
Saxum Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Time for me to pick a new example of a guy that shouldn't be dressing on gameday.... I hope he becomes pro bowl LB and we see new posts from you saying how Bills misused him using him just on special teams.
Kirby Jackson Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Jordan Gay. Not a total waste but we will probably want to have an extra TE in there or safety or Lb in there. We want Roman and Rex to have the whole tool kit to do what they do.Yeah, that is what I am thinking as well. The flip side of the argument (and one that I made last year in Gay's favor) is that if you make teams consistently go 80 yards against that Bills defense you are in good shape. The last thing that I want is to be up 2 points late and kick off to Darren Sproles (or someone like that) and have him run the kick out for 65 yards. I go back and forth on Gay. If he was a lights out, automatic touchback I would be all for dressing him every week. He's really good but not perfect.
YoloinOhio Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 Oh hey .., thanks Larry! @mikerodak: The Bills now have the freedom to sign Dawan Landry or re-sign Brandon Spikes without possibly losing a 2016 compensatory pick for Spiller.
Kirby Jackson Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I hope he becomes pro bowl LB and we see new posts from you saying how Bills misused him using him just on special teams. I can assure you that you won't see that from me. If we cut Goodwin and he becomes an elite deep threat you may hear me grumbling however.
KD in CA Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 ehh I'd rather have Paula Dean. at least then Icognito would have someone like-minded to converse with I didn't know Incognito had an interest in cooking. Cool beans.

I'm not totally against him or the idea but he's not automatic. Plus he seemed more important before we had guys like Boobie and Graham as well as some starters playing special teams. Even when he didn't kick them out of the endzone our coverage teams were good. The main reason I said it is because of the offense and hybrid defense we will run. We have a Fb now. Roman wants three and maybe four TEs. IMO we want a guy like Goodwin even if it's only 10 plays a game. Rex likes to use a lot of safeties and different kinds of LBs. If we sign Spikes and Landry those are two spots we need openings for on game day.
Stanley Lombardi Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 ehh I'd rather have Paula Dean. at least then Icognito would have someone like-minded to converse with ...and today's heap o' hate is brought to you by kdiggz.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 This is good news. It will let us re-sign Spikes or sign Landry-- and we will still get a compensatory pick. If we had re-signed Dean, we would be even at FA signees/losses, and wouldn't get that pick.
Big C Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 But if we still wait to sign Landry or Spikes, won't we be eligible for an extra compensatory pick?
Deranged Rhino Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I can assure you that you won't see that from me. If we cut Goodwin and he becomes an elite deep threat you may hear me grumbling however. Agree on Goodwin. I don't think he gets cut unless they absolutely can't find a draft weekend deal for him. Hogan goes before Goodwin.
