Somehow I suspect rich conservatives play golf there too.

Maybe, but I don't see the rich conservatives telling the little people to prepare to have their water consumption monitored.

California is run - from top to bottom - by rich white liberals, and everything wrong with the state -- including the water issue -- falls on them. There is no Bush to blame. No Tea Party to blame.

Progs own this state, and all its embarrassing failures.

But hey...the delta smelt is safe, so they have that going for them. Which is something.

Why does race come into this discussion? Does Willie Brown get no blame? What about Loretta Sanchez? No blame?

No, it's not. Did you read my post?

Everything wrong with the state -- including the water issue -- falls on the elected leadership. -- does that work for you?

Sorry DC Tom, this is just a pet peeve of mine right now. Racism is a big problem and we shouldn't judge people by race.

However in the 21st century it seems that we have count how many of each there are and point out what race everyone is (as if we didn't already know) etc. It's just dumb IMHO.

Rich white folks have the money and the power. Particularly in California, which is driven by agriculture, tech, and Hollywood, pretty much all rich white entitlement industries.

Which in CA is predominately rich white folks.

Can you prove it's the biggest waste of water?

How do you define waste?

Creating a oasis playground for rich Hollywood people in the middle of a dessert. That is a prime example of a waste of resources. Palm Springs was designed and developed for that reason and that reason only.

Money talks and BS walks regardless of race or the state you and your big bucks live in.

In CA a black man can even get off for killing a white woman if he has enough money.
